German authorities have arrested a woman on charges of violating economic sanctions imposed on Russia, following extensive investigations in Bavaria and Berlin. The public prosecutor's office announced the arrest on March 12, 2025, detailing how the 46-year-old suspect, originally from Belarus, allegedly facilitated the export of 192 cars to Russia, amounting to about 21.4 million euros.
