Gang Jeong-eun Cleared Of Misconduct Allegations

The dog trainer expresses relief and plans future treks for pet lovers

Gang Jeong-eun, the well-known dog trainer embroiled in allegations of workplace misconduct, recently expressed his relief after being cleared of all charges. The controversy arose last year when former employees of his company, Bodum Company, accused him of unauthorized surveillance and mistreatment, leading to significant public scrutiny.

On February 23, 2025, Gang took to Instagram, stating, "Last May, something happened to me. Fortunately, I heard the news two weeks ago about being cleared of charges, and I was so happy." His response reflects not only his relief but also the emotional toll the allegations have taken on him and his family.

The allegations against Gang and his wife Susan Elder stemmed from claims made by former employees who accused the couple of engaging in invasive surveillance practices, including unauthorized access to personal communications and monitoring through CCTV. This led to widespread concern about employee rights and workplace ethics.

Gang noted, "I’m so sorry for missing the dog trekking event last year because I really like it. I’m very sorry to the pet owners and dogs who came to Jeongseon." This event, meant to celebrate the bond between pets and their owners, became the backdrop for the tumultuous period he faced. His heartfelt apology shows the deep connections he values within his community.

Fortunately for Gang, on February 5, the Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency concluded their investigation, deciding not to charge him and his wife, signaling the end of the legal worries hanging over their heads. The Cyber Investigation Team concluded there wasn't sufficient evidence for any criminal wrongdoing.

The emotional weight of these charges loomed large as Gang expressed not only relief but also disappointment over the impact on his passion for dog trekking events. He had to miss out on participating in activities he enjoys deeply, having established himself as one of the leading figures in pet training and care.

Looking forward, Gang announced plans for future events with high hopes of reconnecting with his community, stating, "I’m holding another dog trekking event at the High One this May. This time, I will take all the pictures, sign them and consult with everyone." His intention to engage directly with customers marks a significant step toward restoring trust and demonstrating his commitment to his passion for dog training.

With the lifting of these accusations, Gang hopes to not only rehabilitate his reputation but also enrich the experiences he provides, emphasizing the bond between dogs and their owners. He said, "We really like walking together. Our wish is to walk from morning to night, and when we meet, let’s definitely take the hike together."

This reflective moment showcases Gang Jeong-eun’s desire to continue sharing joy through dog-related events and personal interactions, emphasizing his dedication to serving the community of dog owners. Now cleared of his charges, he is set to return to the spotlight with renewed vigor, aiming to make the most out of his next event.
