FRVR Secures Funding To Revolutionize Game Creation

New investment aims to boost AI engine and democratize game development for all creators

FRVR, the Lisbon-based gaming company, has recently secured $12.7 million to boost its innovative AI-powered game creation engine. This funding brings FRVR's total financing to over $100 million since its inception.

The latest round was led by Iberis Capital, with significant participation from Indico Capital Partners, Lince Capital, and returning investor Hiro Capital. The funds will be allocated to advance the company’s AI engine, enabling more personalized and engaging gaming experiences.

Founded by industry veterans Chris Benjaminsen and Brian Meidell, FRVR aims to democratize game development. The team believes anyone, regardless of technical ability, should have the tools to create and distribute games.

Over the past five years, this platform has grown from just two individuals to over 80 employees across six global offices. With more than 1 billion gameplays across its extensive library of over 100 games, FRVR continues to empower creators worldwide.

Brian Meidell, co-founder of FRVR, expressed his enthusiasm about the new funding, stating, "We’ve spent the last few years solving mass distribution of games across numerous channels. Our goal is to make FRVR the ideal place for creating and distributing games, as well as engaging with players."

The funding will support the development of Forge, FRVR's AI-centric game development engine. This platform enables both developers and non-developers to create interactive content efficiently across various platforms, such as mobile, PC, and web.

Iberis Capital's João Henriques shared his excitement about investing, noting, "We believe FRVR.ai's technology has the potential to democratize game development and broaden access for many creators."

Stephan de Moraes from Indico Capital reiterated the potential impact of FRVR's tools, asserting, "They can disrupt the status quo, providing quick creation and distribution for developers and casual creators alike."

Luke Alvarez from Hiro Capital highlighted the unique blend of AI-driven game creation with instant distribution, stating, "We are excited to support this incredible team as they enter the next phase of their growth."

This fresh influx of capital will allow FRVR to refine its AI technology even more, enhancing user experience and making game creation simpler for everyone.

There’s increasing interest and investment within the gaming sector, particularly as companies embrace AI to streamline development processes. With FRVR at the forefront, the future of gaming creation might emerge as more inclusive than ever before.
