Over three hundred educators from thirty-two countries have participated in a series of free webinars titled "Pedagogical Bridges," dedicated to enhancing education practices and sharing knowledge across borders.
These webinars have been ongoing for a year, supported by the Commission on Education and the Russian Language of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in France. According to I. Zhukovsky, who leads the commission and heads the Russia-Aquitaine association in Bordeaux, there have been a total of six meetings.
One of the project organizers is Olga Monmart, the director of the Paris school-studio "Surpriz." Under her initiative, the international children's literary competition "Factory of Words" has been held for several years with backing from the "Russkiy Mir" (Russian World) foundation. Recently, experts have discussed how to prepare students for this competition.
During these webinars, educators from various countries, including Egypt, Belarus, Spain, and France, have shared their experiences regarding online teaching methods. These efforts showcase a collaborative spirit in addressing contemporary educational challenges.
The project is partnered with the Zlatoust publishing house, which has worked diligently to produce educational literature and promote innovative ideas for teaching the Russian language abroad.
Participants expressed keen interest in insights shared by Anna Lyubiva, who spoke about conducting Russian language proficiency tests, and Tatyana Bekezina, who focused on organizing gaming activities to enhance learning.
The final webinar of the current academic year is set to take place on April 4, 2025. This session will be dedicated to early speech development, featuring seasoned educators Elena Ageeva from Germany and Victoria Raskina from the USA.
