Fortnite Welcomes Back Daredevil Cosmetics As Lawsuit Against Player Unfolds

Epic Games also hints at new wildlife for LEGO Fortnite as the franchise expands its creative horizons.

Fortnite fans have been graced with the return of new cosmetics based on the iconic Marvel character Daredevil, coinciding perfectly with the premiere of the latest Disney Plus show, "Born Again." Available from March 4, 2025, players can now find various Daredevil-themed items back on offer in the Fortnite Item Shop. This includes the Daredevil Outfit priced at 1,500 V-Bucks, Daredevil’s Billy Clubs Pickaxe for 800 V-Bucks, and The Devil’s Wings Glider, also available for 800 V-Bucks. Enthusiastic buyers can opt for a bundle option to purchase all three items for 2,200 V-Bucks, which translates to savings of 900 V-Bucks compared to picking them up individually.

But that's not all on today’s shopping list! Also making its way back to the Item Shop is the character Black Cat, though her inclusion seems somewhat disconnected from Daredevil’s return. It appears Epic Games has opted to include another Marvel character among the many offerings available. Other fan-favorite franchises, including Cowboy Bebop, John Wick, and Hatsune Miku, also have splendid cosmetics up for grabs. For fans of Fortnite Originals, notable characters such as Bigfoot, Gummy Fishstick, Galaxy Grappler, and Titan are also part of the current store update.

This return of cosmetics not only serves the immediate needs of players seeking to customize their gaming experience but also ties back to the wider universe of popular media, with the Daredevil cosmetics acting as part of the synergy between gaming and television.

Meanwhile, the growing drama around Epic Games extends beyond mere aesthetics. The company is embroiled in legal battles, most prominently involving Isaac Strock, who is being sued for allegedly stealing and selling numerous Fortnite accounts. Announced on February 27, 2025, as part of the company's anti-cheat update, the lawsuit sheds light on Strock’s alleged tactics, which included using social engineering to access the accounts. According to Epic Games, he successfully misled their support team during multiple instances to gain access to accounts belonging to other players.

Strock’s alleged thefts culminated with the sale of one account on September 12, 2024, reportedly for about $425 worth of Bitcoin—this account integrated 146 skins and 30 V-Bucks. Epic Games has claimed Strock’s actions have caused harm not only to the company but also to players who have lost access to their valued accounts. The lawsuit clearly indicates, "Epic has spent substantial resources investigating and working to prevent Strock’s conduct. Strock’s conduct also directly harms Fortnite players who no longer have access to the accounts they spent time and money on."

Continuing on the theme of expansion and innovation, leaks suggest Epic Games is preparing to introduce new wildlife to LEGO Fortnite. According to credible leaker @BeastFNCreative, at least five new creatures might soon grace the landscapes of the LEGO game—these include the Horn Beetle, Horse, Large Bird, Worm, and Large Worm. While some of these new creatures may be rideable, such as the Horse, others like the Large Bird may not be able to fly, primarily serving aesthetic functions. Notably, there is speculation surrounding the worms, which may relate to the fishing mechanics within the game.

The buzz around these new additions is growing, with expectations for news about their release as new LEGO Fortnite content is to be teased by March 12, 2025. The anticipated update can certainly heighten interest and engagement within the community, boosting the appeal to both new and returning players.

These exciting developments surrounding Fortnite reflect how the game continues to evolve, blending elements from popular culture and community interaction with the game's existing lore. Whether it’s the reintroduction of beloved characters or new legal challenges and features, Fortnite remains at the forefront of discussions among gaming enthusiasts, securing its role as one of the leading titles within the gaming ecosystem.
