FKP Scorpio Restructures Swedish Booking Department

Chris Rotenius and Lola Loog appointed to redefine live music experiences.

FKP Scorpio Sweden has announced important changes within its booking department, ushering in new leadership with the appointment of Chris Rotenius as head of booking and Lola Loog as promoter. According to the press release from FKP Scorpio, this dynamic duo is set to redefine live experiences across Sweden and the Nordics.

Chris Rotenius, widely recognized for his contributions to the Swedish music industry, has been with FKP Scorpio since 2022. With over ten years of experience as both promoter and booker, Rotenius has played pivotal roles in organizing notable events, including the highly anticipated Stockholm Rock Out and the Gefle Metal Festival. With his new position as head of booking, he aims to leverage “his extensive experience and wide-reaching network within the music industry (…) to guide the booking department down the road,” according to the release.

Lola Loog makes her entrance as promoter, bringing with her considerable experience from her prior role at All Things Live. Her career launched as she assisted with production and bookings at RL Concerts during her teenage years in Finland. Over time, she has handled headline bookings for major acts like Stormzy at Finland’s Weekend Festival and managed international shows within Helsinki. Loog, who made her move to Sweden in 2023, is already establishing herself as a prominent figure within the Nordic music scene. Her repertoire spans multiple genres, highlighting her adaptability and depth of knowledge, particularly within electronic music, hip-hop, and R&B.

The announcements emphasized the value Loog brings, stating, “Lola’s exceptional talent for identifying up-and-coming artists and curtailing culturally impactful events adds a valuable aspect to the FKP Scorpio Sweden team.”

According to Božo Rasic, managing director of FKP Scorpio Sweden, the inclusion of Chris and Lola marks significant progress within the booking department. He remarked, “With Chris and Lola on board, we are eleving our booking department to the next level. Chris has a deep appreciation for both artists and audiences, whilst Lola introduces a forward-thinking global outlook, which will undoubtedly benefit our operations.”

Folkert Koopmans, CEO of FKP Scorpio, reflected on the continuous growth and success the Swedish division has experienced over the past decade. “FKP Sweden has been writing its own success story for ten years now, hosting over 200 shows and concerts each year. Acts such as Ed Sheeran, Gorillaz, Sam Smith, and Radiohead have graced our stages, alongside myriad Scandinavian artists. Strengthening our booking team with Chris and Lola is the next logical step encapsulating our strategy for growth and innovation, rooted firmly on experience and continuity,” he stated.

These notable transitions within FKP Scorpio Sweden herald not only new opportunities for the organization itself but also for live music audiences across the region. With Chris Rotenius leading the booking efforts and Lola Loog fostering fresh local and international talent, expectations are high for what’s to come.

Prompts for upcoming events and strategies include desires to push creatively—highlighting diverse musical genres and refining the experience for attendees who crave impactful live performances. Industry veterans and newcomers alike will be watching closely as FKP Scorpio adapts and responds to the changing dynamics of live entertainment.
