Federica Panicucci Hosts 32nd Christmas Concert

Musical event blends festivities with charitable spirit on Canale 5.

Federica Panicucci, one of the most recognizable faces on Italian television, took the stage once again as the host of the 32nd edition of the Christmas Concert on Canale 5 on December 25, 2024. This beloved event celebrated the spirit of Christmas and included musical performances aimed at raising funds for the Missioni Don Bosco charity, particularly projects assisting children in Nigeria and Ukraine.

The concert aired live from the Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome, capturing the warmth and festive mood of the season. Panicucci, who has hosted the concert for six consecutive years, greeted viewers and the diverse lineup of artists set to perform throughout the evening.

Born on October 27, 1967, Panicucci has been part of the Italian entertainment scene for over three decades. She began her career at the young age of twenty and has since become one of the most influential presenters on various networks. Notably, she is also well-loved for her morning program, Mattino Cinque, where she provides news and light-hearted commentary.

Federica's personal life is frequently under the public eye, especially her relationship with her long-term partner, Marco Bacini. The couple has been together since 2016 after Panicucci's separation from her first husband, DJ Mario Fargetta, with whom she shares two children, Sofia and Mattia. Reflecting on her bond with Bacini, she mentioned, "Lui mi è stato vicino in momenti molto difficili della mia vita e l'ha fatto con tatto e una cura speciale," underscoring the support he has provided during challenging times.

Marco Bacini is not just her partner but also shares her passion for business—a notable entrepreneur himself, he founded MB Management and runs the fashion label Rude is Cool. Together, they have launched their own t-shirt brand called Let's Bubble. Panicucci describes Bacini as "una persona molto speciale, non avevo mai incontrato nessuno come lui," emphasizing their deep connection and commitment to each other.

The concert featured an eclectic mix of Italian and international artists. Among the highlights were Roberto Vecchioni, known for his charisma and powerful lyrics, performing the heartwarming song "Chiamami ancora amore," which he brought to life at the Sanremo Festival back in 2011. Veteran singers Iva Zanicchi and Fausto Leali added their timeless hits to the festive program as well.

For those who love dance music, the concert included lively performances by the Boomdabash, complemented by pop artist Ditonellapiaga, who is well-known for her energetic performances. The event also showcased up-and-coming talents alongside established stars, fully capturing the Italian music scene's vibrancy.

International guests graced the lineup, including the Benedict Gospel Choir and the talented Angélique Kidjo, bringing their unique styles to the annual celebration. The evening promised excitement and nostalgia, aiming to create memorable moments for both the live audience and viewers at home.

The orchestral backdrop was provided by the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema under the expert direction of Maestro Adriano Pennino, ensuring high-quality musical accompaniment for all performances throughout the night.

During the concert, attendees were encouraged to participate by donating to Missioni Don Bosco through the dedicated number 45594, active until January 2, 2025—demonstrably putting the spirit of giving at the forefront of the event.

Building on the anticipation of the concert's finale, it was revealed by sources from Corriere della Sera there would be a finale featuring Panicucci herself performing the poignant song "War is Over," adding yet another layer of emotional depth to the evening.

With her effortless charm and engaging presence, Federica Panicucci continues to showcase her multifaceted talents not only as a TV host but also as someone with rich personal experiences and aspirations for her life with Bacini—who she envisions as her ‘forever.’ While they continue to progress together, the question of marriage remains open, with Panicucci expressing some uncertainty about the date but maintaining hope for their future together.

The 32nd Christmas Concert on Canale 5 solidifies not only Panicucci's stature as a beloved figure on television but also emphasizes the importance of coming together to celebrate, reflect, and contribute to charitable causes, leaving viewers with plenty of heartwarming memories of the night.
