The eggs were sold starting November 22 and are identifiable by the Julian code 327 and have a Use By date of January 5, 2025.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered eggs intended for non-retail distribution mistakenly made it to store shelves. So far, approximately 10,800 packages were pulled from stores, and luckily, no illnesses have been reported linked to the contaminated eggs.
Customers who purchased the affected egg cartons are advised to stop consuming them immediately. The FDA recommends returning them to any Costco location for a full refund or throwing them out altogether.
