Faustine Bollaert Retains Title Of Favorite TV Presenter

For the second year running, Faustine Bollaert has been named the most beloved television personality by French viewers.

French television presenter Faustine Bollaert has once again captured the hearts of the audience, earning the coveted title of the most beloved television personality for the second consecutive year, according to the annual survey conducted by TV Magazine.

Revealed on December 26, 2024, the results stem from a survey carried out between November 12 and 23, where 54,618 respondents were asked, "Among these 90 television personalities, who are your top ten favorites?" Bollaert topped the list with 37.3% of the votes, solidifying her status as a television staple among French viewers.

Following her closely was Nikos Aliagas, who secured the second place with 33.5% of the votes, marking a remarkable climb from his previous fifth position last year. Karine Le Marchand, known for her show L'Amour est dans le pré, also saw incremental success, finishing third with 32.6% of the votes.

Bollaert expressed heartfelt gratitude for her constituents' unwavering support following her victory. "This place, I take it as a testimony of affection from the public with whom I have a real emotional commitment," she shared with TV Magazine. She highlighted the emotional engagement she feels with viewers, which is reflected solidly through their votes.

This victory feels especially significant for Bollaert because she acknowledged the pressure of wanting to confirm her status. “Last year, I wasn't expecting it. It's even more precious to keep this first place because I had everything to lose,” she noted, expressing her determination and stress leading up to the results. The weight of expectations hung heavy on her, underscoring how much she values this recognition.

Through her engaging presentations, particularly on the show Ça commence aujourd'hui, Bollaert has formed meaningful connections with her audience, conveying empathy and warmth. She expressed, "I was more stressed this year because I really wanted this confirmation. This place validates the changes I’ve made throughout my career, confirming my authenticity on screen.”

Aliagas, reflective of his performance, also conveyed appreciation to the audience, stating, "I want to express my gratitude to the public," as he acknowledged his rise to prominence. Meanwhile, Karine Le Marchand, who continues to thrive as she approaches her 30-year career milestone next year, commented on her success: "I will celebrate my 30 years of career next year, and I am happy to continue progressing in people's hearts."

The top ten rankings for this year's survey paint a picture of the television industry’s public favorites, showcasing the diverse talent present today. Below are the rankings as revealed:

  • 1. Faustine Bollaert

  • 2. Nikos Aliagas

  • 3. Karine Le Marchand

  • 4. Jean-Luc Reichmann

  • 5. Cyril Lignac

  • 6. Philippe Etchebest

  • 7. Camille Combal

  • 8. Cyril Féraud

  • 9. Nagui

  • 10. Denis Brogniart

Bollaert’s feat is particularly notable, breaking the traditionally male-dominated hierarchy of the ranking, as she was the first woman to receive this recognition, which has typically favored men over the years. Before her, men like Stéphane Plaza and Jean-Luc Reichmann held significant influence over the rankings.

Reflecting on her competitors, Bollaert expressed, "With Nikos and Karine, we share many values. We possess sincere curiosity about others and I think people appreciate us first for our personalities, even before our roles as presenters.” This camaraderie among presenters contributes to the warmth and relatability of French television.

Looking forward, questions arise over whether Bollaert can maintain her status and achieve the trifecta of wins come 2025. Her legacy as one of France's most cherished television figures seems firmly set, but the competition remains fierce.

For now, Bollaert's fans continue to celebrate her achievements, bolstered by their emotional investment and engagement with her work. It remains to be seen who will take the lead next year, but for 2024, Bollaert firmly remains at the top.
