Family Urged To Find Missing Man From Liverpool Street

Friends and family say they are worried for the welfare of Simon Sually who vanished after leaving the pub for unknown reasons

Family members of 37-year-old Gurbaksh Sually, commonly known as Simon, are expressing deep concerns over his sudden disappearance after he left Kings Stores pub near Liverpool Street. Simon was last seen on Saturday evening, November 23, around 7 PM, and his family has not heard from him since. His brother, Mohinder Sually, described the situation as deeply troubling, stating, “We just really want him to come home.”

Upon celebrating the engagement of a family friend, Simon unexpectedly parted ways with his companions at the Spitalfields pub. His family reported him missing the following afternoon, triggering a response from the Metropolitan Police, which is currently investigating his whereabouts.

Recent developments revealed Simon had been living with his parents in Ipswich but had roots in the London area, including Tower Hamlets, where he previously resided. Employed at a U.S.-based digital marketing firm, he is well-connected throughout London, particularly with his two brothers based in the east, north, and north-east regions.

Mohinder recounted how Simon had initially planned to meet his two brothers later on Saturday evening. After indicating he would leave Kings Stores, Simon simply walked out and didn’t return. Mohinder’s younger brother attempted to locate him soon after arriving at the pub but found no trace of Simon.

This disappearance is particularly alarming for the family since there was another incident several months prior where Simon had gone missing briefly. According to Mohinder, “He said his phone battery died and he was a bit worse for wear.”Unlike then, when Simon reappeared the next day, this time he has been missing for three days without any contact, raising fears for his safety.

“This is really out of character for him now, to be missing for three days,” Mohinder added, expressing the family's worry and desperation to see Simon return safely.

Simon’s parents have spent the last two days tirelessly searching London, joined by friends and family who have initiated social media campaigns to plead for public assistance. They have urged anyone who might have seen Simon or have information on his situations to reach out. Mohinder voiced the concern shared by the entire family, emphasizing the magnitude of the search effort, learning how expansive London can feel when someone is lost, stating, “We don’t really know what to do. London is such a big place, and there are so many potential places he could have gone or ended up.”

Simon’s family paints him as sociable, bright, and empathetic, highlighting his humor and intelligence. “He’s such a great guy - he’s so funny and intelligent,” Mohinder said, appealing to anyone within earshot, including Simon, to come forward. “If anybody saw him, or is with him, we just would love for them to reach out and get in touch with us. And if he sees [this] that's even greater,” he added earnestly.

The family's plight has drawn responses from local media, with the Metropolitan Police confirming they are actively seeking public information on Simon’s whereabouts. A police spokesperson stated, “He was last seen at 6 PM on Saturday 23 November, around the Bishopsgate and Hackney areas. We are concerned for his welfare and want to make sure he is safe.”

Authorities are issuing appeals for anyone with relevant information to contact them directly. The public can call 101 and quote reference CAD7457/24NOV to provide any tips or leads. The hope is to bring Simon back to his family soon, quelling their worries and fears over his well-being.

While the search continues, the level of community engagement and concern surrounding Simon's case serves as a poignant reminder of how fragile human connections can become amid the hustle and bustle of city life. Simon Sually’s family holds onto hope, determined to see their loved one return home safely.
