The first round of the Italian Under 23/Senior 24MX 2025 Enduro Championship was held on March 23, 2025, in the picturesque town of Fanna, situated in the Pordenone region of Italy. This thrilling event attracted 248 riders, each eager to showcase their skills on the challenging 48 km course designed by the Motoclub Fanna.
The atmosphere was electric as the motors roared and the participants geared up to tackle the demanding terrain, which featured two key special tests. The first of these was the Cross Test 24MX, an eight and a half-minute course primarily on open terrain with technical sections. Following this was the Enduro Test RedMoto, lasting thirteen minutes and situated within a forest, promising to challenge riders with its rocky roots and slippery conditions. Riders knew they needed to be at the top of their game to secure victory.
Riccardo Fabris (KTM) emerged victorious in the overall classification, outpacing his competitors Carlo Minot (Beta) and Gabriele Melchiorri (TM). Fabris's performance solidified his status as the one to beat this season. The competition was fierce, with Minot initially taking the lead before Fabris executed a brilliant strategy during the later stages of the race, ultimately grabbing the top spot.
Another highlight of the event was Luca Colorio's victory in the Elite class, where he fought off challenges from Pierre Scardina. This category featured some of the most recognizable names in enduro, providing a spectacle for fans and participants alike.
In the Senior classes, Mirko Spandre (Honda) took first in the Senior 450 category, solidifying his dominance with Mirko Ciani (Beta) and Giorgio Viglino (Husqvarna) trailing closely behind. Spandre's consistency marked him as a strong contender for the championship.
Andrea Castellana (Triumph) also shined by winning the Senior 250 4T class, while Federico Aresi (Beta) took first in the Senior 300 class, demonstrating the intense competition across all categories. Aresi's victory was hard-fought, with Lorenzo Bazzurri (Beta) and Riccardo Nicoli (Beta) shadowing him closely in the standings.
The Senior 250 2T class witnessed an exciting finish with Alberto Capoferri (Beta) taking the gold, while Gianluca Riccoboni (KTM) and Adriano Bellicoso (KTM) claimed the next two spots. Meanwhile, Carlo Minot, previously holding strong in the overall standings, earned the top position in the Senior 125 class.
The Junior categories were equally thrilling, with Mattia Capuzzo (KTM) leading the Junior 450 class, followed closely by Thomas Bastiani (GasGas) and Daniele Matti (Husqvarna). In Junior 250 4T, Michele Verona (GasGas) showcased an impressive performance to come out on top.
In terms of female representation, Sara Traini (Rieju) dominated the Coppa Italia Femminile, securing her first-place finish against tough competition.
The excitement didn’t stop there. The Challenge Husqvarna also took place simultaneously, featuring riders divided into two categories: Under and Senior, both competing on the same challenging course. Filippo Barli (Husqvarna) won the Under class, while Giacomo Vischi (Husqvarna) took home the title in the Senior category.
As the day came to a close, a celebratory awards ceremony recognized the achievements of all competitors. The event was graced by the presence of notable officials, including the president of Motoclub Fanna, Marco Mendizza, the local mayor, and leaders of various motorcycle organizations.
