Fabian Kahl, one of the prominent traders from the beloved ZDF show "Bares für Rares," has recently sparked concern among his fans due to serious health issues. The 33-year-old antiquities dealer was forced to miss filming after suffering from high fever, culminating in his hospitalization this past weekend.
Initially, Kahl had planned to travel to Köln for the next filming session of the hit show. He shared his health updates through his Instagram account, where he informed his followers, "Eigentlich wollte ich morgen nach Köln ans Set fahren, um 'Bares für Rares' zu drehen. Daraus wird jetzt nichts" (I actually wanted to go to set tomorrow to film 'Bares für Rares.' That is not going to happen now).
At first, Kahl suspected he was suffering from tracheitis, which is the inflammation of the trachea. Sadly, his condition worsened, and he later revealed, "Mein Fieber ist leider auf 40,6 Grad gestiegen und somit haben wir uns entschieden, in die Notaufnahme zu fahren, um diverse Tropenkrankheiten ausschließen zu können" (Unfortunately, my fever rose to 40.6 degrees, which led us to decide to go to the emergency room to rule out various tropical diseases).
The source of Kahl's worry stemmed from his recent trip to Uganda, where he traveled earlier this year with his girlfriend, Yvonne. Given the risks associated with tropical diseases, the decision to seek immediate medical attention was prudent. "Es scheint sich 'nur' um eine Influenza zu handeln" (It seems to be 'only' influenza), Kahl later reassured his fans after tests came back from the hospital.
Despite the diagnosis, Kahl emphasized the importance of acting quickly when symptoms arise, especially after visiting tropical regions. He stated, "Der Arzt meinte jedoch, dass es genau richtig war, direkt bei den ersten Symptomen vorbeizukommen" (The doctor said it was absolutely right to come by immediately at the first symptoms), underlining the potential severity of ignoring such warning signs.
Due to this unexpected health scare, Kahl could not participate in the filming of "Bares für Rares," raising questions among viewers about the future of the popular show without him. The team behind the series, known for its diverse group of traders, is expected to adjust accordingly, but fans express eagerness to see Kahl return to the screen as soon as possible.
Kahl's social media statements have been filled with gratitude as he acknowledges the well-wishes from his followers during this challenging time. It's evident he values the support and hopes to use his platform to convey important health messages.
While Kahl's hospitalization raised alarms, it also served as a reminder of the importance of addressing health issues early on. His experience highlights how important it is to take symptoms seriously, especially after international travels. Fans remain hopeful for his swift recovery, eager to see him back where he belongs – on set with "Bares für Rares."
