Expo Casa 2025 officially opened its doors on Saturday, March 1, at the Umbriafiere in Bastia Umbra, marking the 41st edition of this prominent home living exhibition. The event is set to run until March 9 and has already seen impressive attendance, showcasing its reputation as the leading event for home innovation and design throughout Italy.
With over 170 exhibitors from across the nation, Expo Casa presents more than 5,000 products and solutions focused on home living, providing visitors with insights on the latest trends and technologies. Aldo Amoni, President of Epta Confcommercio Umbria, expressed his excitement at the inauguration, stating, "The enthusiasm with which Expo Casa has launched is evidence of how much this event is anticipated and appreciated by professionals and visitors alike. Every year we strive to offer a richer experience, featuring quality exhibitors and high-level programming."
The event was attended by several notable figures, including Umbria's Regional Assessor Simona Meloni, Bastia Umbra's Mayor Erigo Pecci, Undersecretary to the Ministry of the Interior Emanuele Prisco, and various representatives from the local Chamber of Commerce and construction associations. Each attendee emphasized the importance of the exhibition and its role as a reference point for the construction and design sector, particularly for Central-Southern Italy.
Simona Meloni spoke passionately about the need to integrate sustainability within home design, stating, "We must create conditions for homes to be shaped in symbiosis with the 'Green Heart of Italy'. At the center, we focus on sustainability, regeneration, and reuse, collaborating with industry operators and professionals."
One notable feature of this year's exhibition is the "Casa Sicura" initiative, created through collaboration with the fire service to raise awareness about domestic safety. This initiative includes the display of the "Casa degli Errori", where visitors can observe common mistakes leading to domestic accidents with guidance from firefighters. Emanuele Prisco commented on this, saying, "The participation of the Ministry and especially the Fire Department aims to promote a culture of home safety, starting from children through play. Accidents unfortunately occur at home, and sometimes, just one small mistake can lead to disaster."
Mayor Pecci and Umbriafiere President Stefano Ansideri both highlighted the exhibition's role as responsive to housing needs, market trends, and the changing demands of businesses. They noted how Expo Casa, alongside events like AgriUmbria, ranks as one of the most attractive and anticipated events held at Umbriafiere annually.
Beyond showcasing products, Expo Casa 2025 serves as a platform for dialogue and discussion. On Sunday, March 2, the event will feature “Il Teatro salva la Vita,” a compelling monologue by Stefano de Majo at 3:00 PM, tackling the important topic of safety on construction sites through theatrical storytelling. This will be followed by a conference on "Training, Risk Awareness, and the Contribution of Digitalization and AI" focused on how new technologies can help prevent workplace accidents.
From 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, there will be discussions on sustainability, hosted by Risparmio Energetico, focusing on solar systems and renewable heating solutions, inviting attendees to explore the most efficient and innovative paths toward greener living.
Expo Casa has just begun, yet it has already demonstrated significant appeal. Over the coming days, attendees will have the chance to explore the best of contemporary home living through diverse exhibitors and thematic meetings.
The exposition is open Monday to Friday from 3 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 8 PM at the Umbriafiere in Bastia Umbra. To stay updated on the full program and events, visitors can check the official website at www.expo-casa.com.
