Exploring Indonesia's Hidden Tourism Gems

From stunning beaches to vibrant cafés, Indonesia offers diverse attractions for every traveler.

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) invites the public to explore the natural beauty of Singkil, located on the coast of Bumi Serambi Mekkah, using ferry services during the long Eid al-Fitr holidays of 2025. This initiative not only enhances community mobility but also opens access to exotic tourist destinations, stimulating both the tourism sector and the regional economy.

The ASDP port at Singkil is seen as a gateway to breathtaking nature attractions. One highlight is Kepulauan Banyak, a cluster of small islands with white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, ideal for snorkeling, surfing, and island hopping. Corporate Secretary of ASDP, Shelvy Arifin, noted, "Visitors can reach Kepulauan Banyak within approximately 3.5 hours aboard the KMP Aceh Hebat 3. This ferry operates between Singkil and Sinabang at scheduled times on specific days."
There are also visits to Pulau Bangkaru, known for being home to rare wildlife such as green turtles, leatherback turtles, and hawksbill turtles. With the Amandangan Beach stretching 3 kilometers, this island offers perfect spots for nature lovers and conservation enthusiasts.

Beyond the routes to Kepulauan Banyak, ASDP operates multiple crossings throughout Aceh, connecting Sinabang to Calang and Meulaboh. Throughout 2024, ASDP Cabang Singkil serviced over 126,000 passengers and more than 38,000 vehicles, playing a pivotal role not just for tourism but also for the distribution of basic goods, vegetables, building materials, and local seafood.

"The presence of ASDP services here not only strengthens inter-regional connectivity but also boosts the tourism sector and logistics distribution, fostering economic development," stated Shelvy.

Shifting focus to Cimahi, it has increasingly become not just a transit city for those heading to Bandung but also a haven for youth who enjoy hanging out at trendy spots throughout 2025. From cozy cafés to budget-friendly coffee shops, there's something for everyone looking for unique culinary experiences or vibrant social atmospheres.

A list of recommended spots includes Mokopi.Co, which offers delicious coffee starting from IDR 16,000 and has become popular for its inviting ambiance perfect for casual meet-ups and study sessions. Open daily from 9 AM to 10 PM, it stands as one of the go-to places for young people.

Another notable spot is Mie Pedas Mampus Café & Shisha, famous for its spicy noodle dishes and accommodating various spiciness levels, complemented with shisha for those seeking enhanced social experiences.

Overall, these advancements and highlights create engaging attractions across Indonesia, ensuring memorable experiences for both locals and tourists alike. More than just travel destinations, they represent opportunities for social engagement, economic growth, and cultural exchange.
