Eurovision 2025 Odds Heat Up As Rehearsals Continue

With Sweden leading the pack, Austria and France emerge as serious contenders ahead of the semi-finals.

The Eurovision 2025 fever is in full swing as rehearsals continue at full speed in Basel, and fans around the world are locked in on the action. Following the completion of the first rehearsals for the countries participating in the two semi-finals of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, it’s time for one of Eurovisionfun‘s most anticipated segments — the betting odds analysis! With less than a week to go until the first semi-final, let’s dive into how the bookmakers are currently ranking the contenders — and what’s changed after four days of rehearsals.

Sweden Still Leads – Austria Closes the Gap

For several weeks now, Sweden has held onto the top spot as the bookies’ favourite to win Eurovision 2025. The record-breaking nation remains in pole position, with odds hovering above 2.00, offering up to 2.37x returns in some platforms. While odds have slightly increased compared to our last analysis, Kaj still leads the pack confidently. In second place, however, Austria is catching up fast. JJ and his track “Wasted Love” impressed after their first rehearsal, significantly boosting Austria’s chances. Their odds now range between 3.5 and 4.0, narrowing the gap with Sweden and emerging as a serious challenger.

France in Third – Waiting for Rehearsal Day

Coming in third, France is still seen as a potential threat, despite slightly less favourable odds than before. With Louane’s first rehearsal set for tomorrow, odds for a French victory currently stand between 8.5 and 13.0, reflecting a mild drop in enthusiasm compared to previous weeks.

Israel Overtakes the Netherlands

As anticipated, Israel has surpassed the Netherlands in the rankings. Both countries now share the same maximum odds, but Israel’s chances are improving, especially after the release of images from Yuval Raphael’s first rehearsal. You can bet on either country at odds between 11 and 17.

Top 10 Update: Finland, Czechia, Belgium on the Rise

  • Finland holds sixth place, with Erika Vikman’s “Ich Komme” maintaining solid support. Her odds range between 23 and 34.

  • Czechia climbs to seventh, following strong imagery from Adonxs’ rehearsal.

  • Belgium sits at eighth, with Red Sebastian generating growing buzz. Some betting sites offer odds as low as 17, while others still go up to 41.

Estonia and Malta Round Out the Top 10

  • Estonia’s Tommy Cash has seen his hype fade, and with it, his odds — now up to 51.

  • Malta, one of the fan favourites this year, re-enters the Top 10. Sharing identical odds with Albania (currently in 11th), both countries return between 41 and 81 on a potential win.

Cyprus and Greece: Slipping or Rising?

  • Cyprus currently ranks 12th, after peaking at 9th following Theo Evan’s first rehearsal photos. Odds for the island nation range between 41 and 101, with “Shh” aiming for a return to the Top 10 ahead of next Tuesday’s semi-final.

  • Greece, on the other hand, has dropped to 20th place, two spots down since our last update. Klavdia’s “Asteromata” now offers odds between 81 and 301, reflecting waning bookmaker confidence after the release of her rehearsal images. We await the 30-second rehearsal clip to see if her chances can rebound.

Louane’s Exclusive Interview

French pop sensation Louane—who will represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025—gave an exclusive and heartfelt interview to OGAE Greece just before departing for Basel, Switzerland. Currently ranked third in Eurovision betting odds, Louane opened up about her emotional entry “Maman,” her artistic journey, and what this opportunity means for her and her country.

Louane, born Anne Edwige Maria Peichert on November 26, 1996, in Sainte-Catherine, France, is a multi-talented singer and actress. Her career began at age 12 when she appeared on L’École des stars, but she rose to national fame in 2013 as a semi-finalist on The Voice: la plus belle voix. Her breakout acting role came in 2014 with the award-winning film The Bélier Family, where she portrayed Paula Bélier, a teenager in a deaf family. Her powerful performance earned her the César Award for Most Promising Actress.

In 2015, she launched her music career with her debut album Chambre 12, which topped the French charts. She followed up with several successful records, including Joie de vivre (2020), Sentiments (2022), and her most recent album Solo (2024). Her hit single “Avenir” remains her most successful track to date. Louane has also collaborated with international artists, including The Chainsmokers, and balances her career with motherhood—she welcomed her daughter in 2020. Her participation in Eurovision 2025 was something of an “open secret,” as many people had named her as one of the artists who could bring victory to France again.

Her song “Maman,” an emotional ballad, has resonated deeply with fans and critics alike—many believing it could clinch a top spot at the Grand Final in Basel. Can France win Eurovision 2025 with Louane? Share your thoughts in the comments!
