Eurostar Launches £35 Flash Sale For Spring Travel

Limited-time offer includes discounted tickets to Paris, Lille, and more destinations.

Eurostar has launched an enticing flash sale, offering £35 off selected routes for travel from London to popular European destinations. This limited-time offer is available for a handful of days, ending at 22:59 on April 3, 2025, prompting eager travelers to act quickly.

The flash sale features discounted tickets for journeys from London to Paris, Lille, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, or Brussels, with travel dates spanning from April 23 to July 9, 2025. The £35 fare applies to Eurostar Standard one-way tickets, making it an attractive option for those looking to explore the continent.

For example, travelers can snag tickets for a long weekend in Paris from May 3 to May 6, 2025, for just £35 each way, totaling £70 for a round trip. Similarly, tickets to Lille for the weekend of May 9 to May 12, 2025, are also priced at £35. However, those interested should note that the cheaper tickets are primarily available for early morning or evening routes. On May 3, Eurostar currently offers £35 tickets from London to Paris at 07:01 PM, while the return journey on May 6 provides more options, with £35 tickets available between 07:12 AM and 05:10 PM.

This flash sale coincides with the expansion of Eurostar’s London depot, which was announced on April 1, 2025. The depot’s capacity has been increased to accommodate additional trains, enhancing service efficiency for routes between St Pancras and continental Europe. Eurostar has implemented operational and maintenance adjustments to make the most of this expanded capacity, ensuring that the increased number of trains can be stored and serviced effectively.

According to the railway transport news portal Railway Supply, Eurostar is also engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback on the depot’s expansion. This collaborative approach aims to optimize operations and enhance passenger services, promising more travel options and improved service availability in the future.

While Paris and Amsterdam are well-known travel hotspots, Lille offers a unique charm that is often overlooked. With its Flemish heritage and 17th-century red-brick townhouses, Lille boasts a vibrant art scene. Visitors should not miss La Piscine de Roubaix, an art museum housed in a former swimming pool, which is a must-see for art enthusiasts.

For those interested in local culture, Lille is recognized as the beer capital of France, home to historic craft breweries. The city hosts a beer festival every September, featuring around 100 events dedicated to craft beer across bars, restaurants, and breweries. This makes it an excellent destination for beer lovers looking to explore new flavors.

If you’re looking to bring a taste of Lille home without breaking the bank, the Marché Wazemmes on Place de la Nouvelle is one of the largest markets in France. Here, visitors can find a variety of produce, beautiful gifts like honey and soaps, and delicious lunch-to-go options.

For dining, ‘L’Atelier Street Food’ is a popular spot known for its great value and lively pre-match atmosphere, while ‘Soho Urban Food’ offers a contemporary buffet-style restaurant experience with a fantastic brunch and cocktails.

Accommodation options are plentiful, with Hôtel Brueghel being centrally located and close to Gare Lille Flandres, making it a convenient choice for travelers.

The Eurostar service has been a vital link between the UK and mainland Europe since it began operations in November 1994. The Channel Tunnel, the world’s longest undersea tunnel at 31.5 miles, was first conceived in 1802, with construction starting in 1988 and completed in 1993. Since the service’s inception, Eurostar has operated a fleet of 28 trains, carrying an estimated 150 million passengers over the past 30 years.

As the travel industry continues to recover, Eurostar’s initiatives, including the flash sale and depot expansion, reflect a commitment to improving rail connectivity and enhancing passenger experiences. With these developments, travelers can look forward to more options and better service as they plan their European adventures.
