CILEGON – Addressing the industry's need for competitive labor, the Language Center of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (Untirta) has organized English language training for employees of PT Synthetic Rubber Indonesia (PT SRI), a joint venture of PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk. and Michelin, running from February to May 2025. The training commenced on February 25, 2025, with the aim of enhancing communication skills, particularly focusing on technical terminology and professional presentations relevant to the international manufacturing sector.
Recognizing the importance of English proficiency for communication with international partners, PT SRI has emphasized the necessity of this training as a strategic move. By collaborating with Pusat Bahasa Untirta, known for its experience in foreign language instruction, the training adopts a needs-based approach, incorporating business simulations and case studies. This method allows dozens of participants to gain effective learning experiences.
Since the first session, numerous trainees from the HR, TQO, and SCM departments have acknowledged the significance of this training, particularly for increasing exposure to active English and enhancing opportunities for professional communication practice. Other participants from the Project department appreciated the supportive training atmosphere, allowing them to practice English without negative pressure, thereby boosting their confidence in communication.
