The Emirates Equestrian Center recently made waves by hosting 8 thrilling show jumping competitions, part of the prestigious Emirates Longines League, which attracts equestrian talent from across the region. This series, now entering its 13th edition, was organized with the guidance of the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation and was sponsored by Longines, adding significant prestige to the event.
The competitions took place across multiple days, with four events held on March 3, 2025, followed by more on March 7, 2025. Each of these competitions featured rigorous specifications, creating exciting challenges for participants of all categories.
Several notable figures attended the event, including Hessam Zomait, who represented the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation, along with Hassan Moussa Al-Hanaei, the head of the jury, and Taherah Ahmed, the director of the Emirates Equestrian Center. Their roles were pivotal, ensuring the smooth execution of the competitions, as well as the fair assessment of the participating knights and horses.
The event featured two-star level specifications, showcasing the talents of both seasoned and young equestrians. The opening competition had knights competing over obstacles at heights reaching 130 cm, indicating the challenges faced by both riders and horses. Abdullah Hamad Al-Karbi emerged victorious with his horse, “Deon ZD,” clinching the top position among 30 competitors. Remarkably, 7 of those riders completed their rounds without accumulating any faults.
