ELECRAMA 2025 Set To Transform Power Sector

World's largest electrical exhibition highlights innovations and sustainability efforts.

Greater Noida is set to witness the much-anticipated ELECRAMA 2025, which promises to be the largest exhibition for the electrical and power sector. Scheduled from February 22 to 26, 2025, the event will take place at the India Expo Mart, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers from across the globe.

Organized by the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), ELECRAMA serves as the premier platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies, fostering business collaborations, and driving the future of the electrical industry. Sunil Singhvi, President of IEEMA, leads the event with his visionary approach, emphasizing the importance of innovation and sustainability within the electrical sector.

Elecrama 2025 is expected to draw attention for its vast international participation, with exhibitors from 75 countries set to showcase their innovations. Singhvi pointed out the enormous potential of India’s burgeoning power sector, which is projected to grow at 7% annually. This growth offers Indian suppliers the opportunity to expand their businesses not just domestically but internationally, particularly in areas such as renewable energy and smart grid technology.

A highlight of this year's event is ABC Transformers, known for its commitment to innovation. The company plans to show off its state-of-the-art products, including skid-mounted and pad-mounted transformers, which address specific challenges faced by the power industry today. "We are excited to be part of ELECRAMA 2025. It allows us to present our latest transformer technologies on a global stage," expressed Gurinder Bansal, Director of ABC Transformers.

Another major participant, NEC, is also expected to present advanced technologies, including smart energy management systems, aimed at optimizing electricity consumption and improving efficiency. Their Managing Director, Prashant Srivastava, noted, "Our goal is to provide advanced and reliable energy solutions to customers, taking the industry to new heights. ELECRAMA 2025 is a significant step in this direction."

At the forefront of innovation, HPL Electric & Power has collaborated with Wirepas to introduce the market's first 'Wirepas certified in-meter gateway'. This smart metering solution will be showcased live at Elecrama, presenting a dynamic approach to reducing costs and enhancing connectivity for powered devices. This solution enables smart meters to connect seamlessly without needing dedicated gateways, thereby simplifying the rollout of smart metering.

ELECRAMA 2025 is anticipated to be more than just a traditional exhibition; it is positioned as a monumental event shaping the future of the electrical industry. The exhibition will not only highlight innovative products but also provide networking opportunities focused on collaboration among industry giants, policymakers, and startups.

With significant backing from the Indian government, ELECRAMA has the potential to bolster the future of the electrical sector, with notable support from key ministries. The Indian government has heavily invested, projecting over ₹3 lakh crore for development and infrastructure of the power sector alongside anticipated requirements of ₹6 lakh crore over the next decade.

Singhvi has highlighted the significance of the event as part of India's strategic ambitions within the global supply chain for electrical solutions: "ELECRAMA is the world’s largest electrical exhibition, gaining immense importance as the global supply chain increasingly looks toward India for electrical and power solutions."

The event also emphasizes sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly practices such as electric vehicle transport for guests and biodegradable materials throughout the exhibition.

According to projections, India’s electrical sector, currently valued at $70 billion, is expected to soar to $130 billion by 2030. This growth includes exports, which are also forecasted to reach $25 billion during this period. The Make in India initiative is invigorated by promoting domestic manufacturing and has drawn significant investment interest from both national and international entities.

Attendees can look forward to exploring various pavilions dedicated to modern trends like Green Energy, digitalization, and automation, making it not only informative but potentially inspiring for future developments within the industry.

With ELECRAMA 2025 on the horizon, the power sector stands at the cusp of transformation, ready to embrace innovations and collaborative efforts geared toward sustainable solutions for the future. This landmark event provides the perfect atmosphere for industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to converge and redefine their prospects.
