Greater Noida (22 February 2025): Marking a significant milestone in India’s energy narrative, ELECRAMA 2025, the world’s largest electrical exhibition, has officially commenced at the India Expo Mart. Organized by the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), this 16th edition of the prestigious event is positioned to revolutionize the realms of power technology, sustainability, and grid modernization.
At the inaugural session, key figures from the industry gathered, including Oliver Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric; Matthias Rebellius, CEO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure; Sunil Singhvi, President of IEEMA; Vikram Gandotra, President (Elect) and Chairman of ELECRAMA 2025; and Siddharth Bhutoria, Vice President, IEEMA and Vice Chairman, ELECRAMA 2025. The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of Power, Manohar Lal Khattar, who reiterated the government's pledge to strengthen India’s energy infrastructure.
Khattar outlined the government's ambitious vision, stating, "India is poised to become the world’s third-largest economy by 2027 and a fully developed nation by 2047. Power is the cornerstone of this transformation. With an installed renewable energy capacity surpassing 200 GW and aiming for 500 GW by 2030, we are taking significant strides toward sustainability. Expanding EV infrastructure, integrating Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, and digitalizing the power sector will be pivotal for this transition." This reflects the growing importance of diversified energy pathways for the nation’s ambitious goals.
Oliver Blum lauded the progress India has made, emphasizing the increasing demand for innovative energy solutions triggered by rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, data centers, and industrial growth. He remarked, "India’s strong manufacturing ecosystem and skilled workforce position it as a global leader for energy transition. ELECRAMA 2025 acts as the perfect platform for showcasing cutting-edge innovations and forging industry-defining partnerships."
Matthias Rebellius added his insights about the changing face of the power sector, stating, "India stands at a turning point, where digitalization and clean energy adoption are redefining its power industry. Smart grids, automation, and sustainable energy investments will be the catalysts for this growth."
Echoing his sentiments, Sunil Singhvi elaborated on India’s evolution within the global energy framework. He noted, "Our power sector is currently undergoing unprecedented transformation, supported by rigorous policies and collaborative efforts. Achieving 210 GW of renewable energy and maintaining clear targets for 500 GW by 2030 indicates significant progress for India as it conserves its role as a global energy innovation hub."
Highlighting the immense scale of ELECRAMA 2025, Vikram Gandotra emphasized, "This event exemplifies our growing clout within the global energy domain. With over 1,100 exhibitors and more than 400,000 expected business visitors, this edition is poised to be the most impactful yet.
