Eindhoven Carnival 2025 Kicks Off With Exciting Events

The city prepares for lively celebrations with music, parades, and community spirit from February 28 to March 4.

The Eindhoven Carnival 2025 is set to dazzle revellers with its vibrant kickoff events beginning on February 28. Known as the "3 Uurkes Vurraf," this lively event promises three hours of non-stop carnival hits, hosted by Jordy Graat from the historic Stadhuisplein. The atmosphere will be electric, with music echoing through the streets and the community coming together to celebrate, marking the official start of the much-loved carnival season.

Alongside this iconic opening event, celebrations will radiate throughout the city, including the lively atmosphere at Hatsiekedeeplein. Carnival enthusiasts can kick off the festivities on Friday, February 28, at 7:00 PM with DJ Daan, setting the tone for the weekend. This year’s lineup features prominent artists, including Willemijn Verkaik, known for her star appearances on various international stages, joining others to create unforgettable memories.

The carnival vibe will continue on Saturday, March 1, beginning with the grand parade at 3:00 PM, offering entertainment for all ages. Local bands and musicians will feature throughout the day, culminating with live performances from Chef Soldaat and various kapellen from 6:00 PM. The evening promises to be especially tantalizing with celebrations carrying on through the night, featuring DJ Brambo, followed by the festivity-packed Bouwersbal commencing at 9:30 PM with entertainers like Johnny Gold.

Sunday, March 2, will be all about family fun as the excitement continues with the children's carnival events starting at 1:00 PM. Inflatable castles and engaging activities are planned to keep the little ones entertained. The evening will see Tommy Santo take the stage, ensuring the celebrations remain spirited even as daylight fades.

On Monday, March 3, the highlight of the carnival will be the highly anticipated Struivencantus, promising both joy and nostalgia. Kicking off at 10:30 AM, attendees are encouraged to secure their seats early at the meterlange tafels and banks. Following this, at 2:00 PM, the Laadklepconcert will feature surprise acts, contributing to the day’s electrifying carnival spirit. Evening festivities will be bolstered by performances from De Deurzakkers, who will celebrate their 50th anniversary at the carnival.

The final day of Eindhoven Carnival is set for Tuesday, March 4, featuring the nostalgic Deurdonder-dinsdag event at Den Domp. This day has become known for reviving old boerentijden, allowing participants to enjoy one last round of festivities, dancing the final remnants of confetti from their hair. Free entry ensures everyone can partake in this closing ceremony, which captures the wholesome essence of community bonding during the carnival.
