East Point College Offers 50% Discount On B.E. Applications

CUET 2025 cut-off expected to rise as competition intensifies for engineering admissions

As students across India gear up for their engineering aspirations, the East Point College of Engineering and Technology is making headlines with a significant opportunity for aspiring B.E. candidates. The college has announced a special promotion for its application process, allowing students to apply for their Bachelor of Engineering programs at a 50% discount on application forms if they use the code "Careers360". This promotion is set to expire on April 19, 2025, prompting many to act quickly to secure their spots.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) B.Tech cut-off percentile for 2025 is projected to fall between 90 and 95 for the top institutions in India. This anticipated cut-off is crucial for students aiming for admission into prestigious engineering colleges, as it reflects the competitive nature of the admissions process. The official cut-off will be published after the CUET results are announced, tentatively set for June 2025. Candidates can check their results and the cut-off scores online at cuet.nta.nic.in.

As the CUET B.Tech cut-off percentile varies from institution to institution, it is essential for candidates to understand that their scores will be influenced by multiple factors, including the difficulty of the exam, the total number of candidates, the performance of the toppers, and the number of available seats. With rising competition, the cut-off percentile has been steadily increasing, making it imperative for students to prepare thoroughly.

To apply for B.E. programs at East Point College, students must first register for the counseling session of their desired university by entering their basic details along with their CUET scores. The respective university will then reach out to them for further processing. This streamlined process is designed to make it easier for students to navigate their options after the CUET results are released.

In addition to East Point College, many other universities are participating in the CUET admissions process. While the CUET is a significant step for many, it is important to note that some institutions, like Delhi University, do not accept CUET scores for engineering courses. Instead, they rely on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores, which adds another layer of complexity for students planning their admissions.

The CUET UG 2025 application portal is now open, allowing students to register online. This exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), serves as the primary entrance for undergraduate admissions into various universities across India. The application process began on March 1, 2025, and will close on March 22, 2025, at 11:50 PM. A correction window will be available from March 24 to March 26, 2025, providing candidates a chance to rectify any mistakes in their applications.

The CUET UG 2025 examination is set to take place from May 8 to June 1, 2025, in a computer-based format. It consists of several sections, including language tests, domain-specific subjects, and a general test that assesses logical reasoning and general knowledge. The marking scheme awards +5 marks for each correct answer, while -1 mark is deducted for incorrect responses. Importantly, no penalty is applied for unattempted questions, allowing students to approach the exam with confidence.

For the 2025 academic year, a total of 7,68,414 candidates participated in the CUET PG exam, with 4,62,603 being unique participants. The results for CUET PG 2025 are expected to be announced in the fourth week of April 2025, likely on April 20 or 21. This exam is critical for students aiming to secure admissions in top universities such as JNU, DU, and BHU.

Students preparing for the CUET PG can expect a rigorous examination format, comprising 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) valued at 4 marks each, culminating in a maximum score of 300. The exam duration has been adjusted to 90 minutes, down from the previous 105 minutes, which requires candidates to manage their time effectively during the test.

Once the CUET PG results are released, universities will initiate their counseling processes. Each institution will publish its own counseling timetable, and students must register on the official university websites to participate. To gain admission into top universities, students typically need to achieve scores exceeding 250 out of 300 in their specific subjects.

As the landscape of college admissions continues to evolve, the CUET has emerged as a pivotal tool for students seeking higher education in India. By streamlining the application process and providing a standardized assessment, the CUET aims to level the playing field for aspiring candidates, ensuring that admissions are based on merit rather than disparate criteria.

In light of the upcoming deadlines and the competitive nature of the exams, students are encouraged to prepare diligently and remain informed about the latest updates regarding CUET and their respective university admissions. The road to higher education may be challenging, but with the right preparation and timely action, students can enhance their chances of success.
