DXYZ Inc. has recently announced the deployment of its facial recognition platform, FreeiD, at the Seaside Heights rental apartment owned by Meiwa Jisho. This landmark implementation signifies the first full-building value-up project for Meiwa Jisho as they aim to incorporate advanced technologies to improve tenant experiences.
Located at 2-9-5 Katasekaigan, Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Seaside Heights is situated within proximity to conveniences and scenic coastal views, offering residents both practicality and enjoyment. Completed back in March 2003, this five-story building consists of 10 residential units and is supported with various facilities aimed at enhancing safety and functionality. Notably, this includes surveillance cameras, automated locking systems, and delivery lockers, all part of the upgrades intended to maintain high living standards.
The introduction of FreeiD is set to bolster the security framework of Seaside Heights significantly, as tenants can now access their homes without needing traditional keys. This innovative platform allows residents to register their facial data through a smartphone application, enabling seamless entry for daily activities, such as arrival or identification checks and payments. By saying, "By introducing FreeiD, we are not only improving security but also ensuring convenience for residents, allowing them to enter their homes without fumbling for keys," Shintaro Kimura, President of DXYZ, emphasizes the practical benefits of this technology.
Further enhancements include careful consideration of the area’s dynamics, making FreeiD particularly suitable for residents returning from shopping or leisure activities. By integrating facial recognition, the technology aligns with DXYZ's mission, which aims to develop services allowing everyone to utilize facial recognition freely, noted as "With FreeiD, the world connects through faces."
Looking forward, DXYZ plans to equip additional renovations and new constructions, including the CRIO brand of condominium units, with the FreeiD platform. The goal remains to create environments where technology enhances daily life, ensuring residents feel both secure and liberated. DXYZ is working toward the ambitious target of achieving additional projects and innovations, signifying their pivotal role in the evolution of smart living solutions.
Meiwa Jisho's collaboration with DXYZ not only reflects their commitment to modernizing rental services but also marks significant progress toward developing value-up properties equipped with intelligent technological support. President Hideaki Harada of Meiwa Jisho remarked, "This collaboration with DXYZ marks our first full building value-up property with integrated smart technology," underlining the important strides being made within the real estate sector.
Beyond smart residential areas, DXYZ and the affiliated Migaro Holdings have begun extending their facial recognition services to various sectors, including offices, childcare facilities, golf courses, and theme parks. They are also testing additional functionalities such as FreeiD Pay—a facial recognition payment system—and linking with Japan's My Number Card for enhanced citizen services.
This innovation indicates not just improvements for residential buildings like Seaside Heights but sets the stage for transforming how citizens engage with their environments through digital and real-world integrations. The strategic partnership between DXYZ and Meiwa Jisho stands as a neat example of how real estate can evolve through technology, ensuring enhanced daily living experiences for tenants.
With such advancements continuing to take shape, the success at Seaside Heights may pave the way for future development projects featuring DXYZ's facial recognition technologies, marking yet another step toward achieving comprehensive smart community solutions.
