Duran Duran Returns For Sanremo Music Festival 2025

Celebrated band joins leading talents for third evening filled with star power and heartfelt performances.

The anticipation is building as the Sanremo Music Festival 2025 gears up for its third evening, scheduled for Thursday, February 13. This year’s festival promises to blend nostalgia with contemporary talent, particularly with the legendary band Duran Duran returning to the Ariston stage, marking 40 years since their first performance there. With their chart-topping hits and classic song 'Wild Boys', fans can expect nothing short of electrifying.

Hosted by Carlo Conti, alongside the captivating Miriam Leone, eye-catching Elettra Lamborghini, and witty Katia Follesa, the evening boasts a lineup filled with excitement. The event will feature esteemed guests, including Iva Zanicchi, who will receive the prestigious career award, bringing her decades of musical influence to the forefront once again. Edoardo Bennato is also set to captivate the audience; his life and unconventional career are explored in the documentary 'Sono Solo Canzonette', premiering on Rai1 on February 19.

Adding to the evening's diversity are the talented performers from the Teatro Patologico, a project founded by actor and director Dario D'Ambrosi, which aims to transform disabilities as enriching resources to innovate theatrical language.

Not only will the audience enjoy renowned music acts, but they will also witness the new season's stars from the popular series 'Mare Fuori', set to premiere on RaiPlay on March 12, before its official television debut on Rai2 on the 26th.

On this third evening, 14 of the 29 participating artists will showcase their talents. Voting will be conducted through Televoto, carrying 50% of the weight, matched by the Radio Jury, which also holds 50%. Fans will eagerly await the announcement of the top five artist titles, though not ranked, at the end of the night. The winner of the 'Nuove Proposte' category will also be revealed, with one of the finalists being either Alex Wyse or Settembre.

Among the evening’s highlights is also a live connection with the tall ship Amerigo Vespucci as it docks at Alexandria, Egypt, providing viewers with another layer of excitement.

Soon after, Ermal Meta is slated to perform on the Suzuki Stage at Piazza Colombo, adding to the festive atmosphere.

With high expectations, the third night of the 75th Festival della Canzone Italiana promises to deliver entertainment, emotion, and exceptional talent, ensuring viewers are engaged throughout the broadcast aired live on Rai Uno and streamed online via RaiPlay. Fans can also listen live through Rai Radio Due, keeping the spirit of Sanremo alive no matter where they tune in.
