Dublin Player Wins €1 Million Lotto Plus Prize

One lucky ticket wins million-dollar bonus as excitement builds for Christmas Day jackpot

A lucky lotto player is waking up as Ireland’s newest millionaire on Sunday morning after claiming a bonus prize in a special once-off draw on Saturday night. The online Lotto player, from Dublin, won a special Lotto Plus raffle, where one ticket was selected to win a prize of €1 million in addition to all the players who won €500 for having the winning raffle number in the draw. That raffle number, one the winner is never likely to forget for the rest of their lives, was 3012.

According to reports, 86,000 players won prizes in Saturday night’s Lotto draw, including one from Limerick who claimed €87,342 for matching five numbers plus the bonus with a ticket purchased at Dunnes Stores, Harveys Quay, on Henry St in the city on Thursday.

There was, of course, no winner of the €4.7 million Lotto jackpot, which will now rollover to an estimated €5 million for the draw on Christmas Day. The winning numbers in the Lotto draw were: 1, 14, 16, 20, 33, 41, and the bonus was 22.

The National Lottery is advising all prize winners over the festive season to sign the back of their winning tickets and keep them safe. They should make contact with the National Lottery Prize Claims team at 1800 666 222 or email [email protected], and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize early in the New Year.

This recent Lotto draw has particularly captivated the community, as multiple winners emerged, and excitement builds for the next draw. Around this festive season, many are hopeful for the chance to become the next lucky millionaire.

The Lotto Plus draw provided many with cash prizes, but it’s evident the highlight remains the millionaire maker from Dublin. Winning ticket holders are reminded to act responsibly with their new fortunes and seek help if they feel overwhelmed by sudden wealth.
