Dragon Ball DAIMA Nears Finale With Epic Showdowns

With transformations and intense battles, the series heads toward its thrilling climax.

The end is near for Dragon Ball fans, with only one episode left before Goku and his friends bid farewell once more. The latest episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA continued the gripping battle between Goku and King Gomah, where the odds seemed heavily stacked against the Z-warriors.

After everything seemed lost, Glorio gathered the Demon Realm Dragon Balls to summon the formidable Eternal Dragon, closely resembling Porunga from Planet Namek. Although it appeared Glorio might betray his friends for the nefarious Dr. Arinsu, he made the surprising choice to use his only wish to return Goku and his companions to their adult forms.

With this transformation, Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 19 showcased the Z-warriors back to their adult selves — a nostalgic return as they prepared for the climactic showdowns. The evil Gomah, now more menacing with his Evil Third Eye, still presented significant challenges, keeping the Z-warriors on their toes.

Next, it was Vegeta's turn to take on Gomah, showcasing his newly acquired Super Saiyan 3 form. This power was first glimpsed back in Episode 12 during his confrontation with the Tamagami of the Second Demon World. The evolution of Vegeta from child to adult Super Saiyan 3 was nothing short of captivating, maintaining the series' legacy of stunning action sequences and top-tier animation.

Even with Vegeta's formidable strength, Gomah's Evil Third Eye provided him with continual boosts, demonstrating the challenges facing our heroes. Thankfully, Vegeta's intense battle against Gomah granted Goku and the others the time they needed to devise a strategy to finally overcome this formidable enemy.

The preview for the finale episode, titled "Maximum," promises to deliver nail-biting action as it teases out the ultimate confrontation between Gomah and adult Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Interestingly enough, the Japanese translation refers to this episode as "Zenkai," referencing the Saiyan-exclusive trait of increasing strength following near-death experiences. Will Goku and Vegeta collaborate effectively and defeat Gomah, or will they have to fight separately to emerge victorious?

Viewers are certainly buzzing with anticipation. Will Goku's quick-thinking and Vegeta's relentless spirit be enough to tip the scales? Their fate is made even more precarious by the impending threat posed by Goku's fusion bug, waiting to create more chaos.

Meanwhile, Dragon Ball Super Chapter 104 pays tribute to the beloved creator Akira Toriyama by referencing elements from his iconic works on the first anniversary of his passing. Although it may not deliver the epic chapter fans had hoped for, it's clear Toyotarou embodies the spirit required to carry the franchise forward.

Fans should stay tuned, as new episodes of Dragon Ball DAIMA air every Friday on Crunchyroll, with the English dub starting to air weekly from January 10. With conflicting emotions of excitement and sorrow, Goku's tagline remains fitting: "Life was peaceful until we turned small due to a conspiracy!" This quote encapsulates the unique narrative twist driving Dragon Ball DAIMA.
