These raids will consist of four unique missions set across newly created maps, allowing players to engage with distinct gameplay elements and challenges. Unlike the multiplayer maps, the environments for the raid mode have been specially crafted to suit the intended experiences. “Each level will offer different gameplay styles and challenges,” Liao elaborated, emphasizing the design team's commitment to delivering variety.
Adding to the excitement, the Delta Force team is also launching the Black Hawk Down campaign, set to debut alongside the new raids, coming January 2025. This campaign takes inspiration from the iconic 2003 game and the events depicted in the movie of the same name, transporting players back to 1990s Somalia. “For Black Hawk Down, you will see we are trying to deliver a unique narrative experience,” Liao confided. He added, “This won't be some typical RPG narrative experience. We are actually designing FPS gameplay features to achieve narrative goals here.”
Team Jade aims to create significant engagement by keeping gameplay action front and center rather than relying heavily on cutscenes. Players can look forward to a more visceral, first-hand experience as they immerse themselves in the story of the Black Hawk Down campaign. While the campaign will not be strictly single-player, it offers opportunities for players to team up with friends, enhancing the overall experience.
Players eager to experience the game’s new features can participate in the Operator Hackclaw event, running from December 5, 2024, until January 17, 2025. This event tasks players with completing various challenges to earn points necessary for unlocking the powerful Recon operator, Hackclaw, known for her unique abilities like the Signal Decoder and Data Knife. By accomplishing challenges displayed on the event page, players can accumulate points and claim their rewards. Liao emphasized the need for willpower and active participation, saying, “Unlocking Hackclaw requires willpower and participation.”
Hackclaw, with her Silent Step trait, is especially suited for stealthily engaging enemies, offering players strategic advantages during missions. Players must keep track of weekly refreshes to seize new challenges and continue earning points throughout the event.
