Electronics giant Delta Electronics is preparing to significantly bolster its presence in Plano, Texas, by launching major expansions at its existing campus. The Taiwan-based multinational company, well-known for its contributions to power management and energy-saving technologies, plans to build on its already sprawling 435,000-square-foot facility located at 601 Data Drive. The expansion, which is set to take place over three phases, is estimated to increase the total square footage of Delta’s Plano operations to nearly 1.5 million square feet. The most immediate phase involves the construction of two major new structures: one will house manufacturing operations at 477,000 square feet, and another will act as office space with 90,000 square feet. Completion for this second phase is anticipated by 2028. Following this, the third phase—a duplicate of the initial manufacturing space—is planned for completion by 2031, effectively anchoring Delta's future operational framework within the region.
Plano Mayor John Muns highlighted the importance of this expansion for the area, stating, "We understand how pivotal it can be to choose a location for such substantial operations, and we're proud Delta Electronics recognizes Plano as the ideal site for fostering their growth."
