Decathlon opens Experience Store and partners with Mason for holistic health tourism campaign.

Decathlon has launched a bold expansion strategy focused on becoming the premier destination for sports enthusiasts, opening its first eastern Experience Store at Pattaya, Chonburi. This location, sprawled across 3,500 square meters, is set to become not only the brand's largest store but also aims to cater to diverse lifestyles associated with sports and outdoor activities. Mr. Dee-ren Chettati, CEO of Decathlon Thailand, expressed the company's ambition to bolster Pattaya as a sports hub by emphasizing the city’s potential to attract local athletes, tourists, and expatriates.

"The readiness of Pattaya as the primary center for the eastern economic zone is important to us, and our new store aims to meet the needs of local sports enthusiasts and tourists alike," Chettati said, showcasing Decathlon's commitment to the region. This initiative is timely as Decathlon is gearing up to support the upcoming Southeast Asian Games set to be hosted by Chonburi from December 9 to 20, 2025.

Decathlon's Location Strategy targets key areas across Thailand to establish facilities from which it can best serve sports lovers. Currently boasting 27 branches nationwide, this expansion places Decathlon at the forefront of the sports retail market as they combine the retail experience with recreational activities directly accessible at their stores.

Alongside product offerings, the company plans to nurture its team members, termed "teammates," many of whom carry knowledge and passion for their respective sports. The campaign introduces several wellness packages aimed at relieving stress, detoxifying the body, and rejuvenation. "Wellness will help to bring together ultra-luxury hospitality with world-class healthcare, catering to all aspects of health and wellness," commented Ms. Pornprapan Rattanapitaksakul, the General Manager of Mason.
