Daria Ładocha Opens Up About Breakup After 24 Years

The TV personality shares her journey of healing and empowerment following her separation from Bartek Kulita.

Daria Ładocha, a well-known television personality and culinary journalist, has opened up about her recent breakup after nearly a quarter-century of partnership with Bartek Kulita, the father of her two daughters. In an emotional interview with Plejada, she revealed that this decision, which she made about a year ago, was one of the most challenging moments of her life.

Ładocha, who gained fame as the host of the popular TVN show "Azja Express," shared that she and Kulita had been together since she was just 17 years old. "It was a difficult decision, but I felt I had to do it. It was either now or never," she explained. The couple, who have two daughters, Laura and Matylda, had been facing significant challenges in their relationship, which ultimately led to their separation.

Reflecting on her time filming "Azja Express" in the Philippines, Ładocha realized that both she and her partner were unhappy. "I saw mainly sadness and burnout in my partner's eyes, and in my own as well. We had become sad people," she noted. This period of self-reflection prompted her to confront the reality of their relationship, which she had previously avoided by immersing herself in work.

"I didn’t want to face it, so I escaped into work. But after returning from the show, I knew I couldn’t endure it any longer. I told Bartek that we both deserved happiness and carefree smiles, but to regain that, we needed to separate because being together wasn’t working for us," she stated.

Despite the pain of the breakup, Ładocha emphasized the importance of moving forward. "Breaking up after 24 years is like open-heart surgery without anesthesia. I built my entire adult life with him, and suddenly everything collapsed into dust. I had to face longing, suffering, emptiness, despair, and grief. I cried an ocean of tears," she said.

Furthermore, she acknowledged that their relationship had started to deteriorate long before the breakup. They had attempted therapy to address their issues, but ultimately, it was not enough to save their partnership. "We were unhappy, but each of us pretended well in front of the children. We went on vacations together, spent time together, and worked together. However, I matured to the point of changing my life," she reflected.

Now, as a single mother, Ładocha is focused on raising her daughters and building a new life for them. "I feel like I’ve started my life all over again. The girls live with me, and I am raising two teenage girls on my own. We are learning to communicate better and respond to different situations. It turned out that they were also affected by the unspoken tension between me and their father," she explained.

In her journey of self-discovery, Ładocha has expressed a desire to support other women facing similar challenges. She plans to launch podcasts and workshops aimed at helping women cope after breakups. "I want to show them they can start anew and be happy," she said. She cited statistics revealing that two years ago, 80,000 women filed for divorce, with only 10% satisfied with their lives afterward, highlighting the need for support and guidance.

As she embarks on this new chapter, Ładocha is also committed to her career. She recently announced her departure from "Azja Express" to focus on new projects that empower women and teenagers. "It’s time for new adventures and challenges. I’m working on new projects that I will reveal soon," she shared on her Instagram.

Despite the heartache of her recent experiences, Ładocha remains optimistic about the future. "I believe that every tear I shed will transform into the victory of another woman. The more tears, the more victories," she concluded, demonstrating her resilience and determination to move forward positively.
