Danny Liedtke Removed From RTL Show Following Violence Allegations

RTL ends cooperation with the 34-year-old actor amid serious accusations of abuse from multiple women.

Danny Liedtke, known for his role on the popular reality show Köln 50667, has been removed from the program by RTL following serious allegations of violence. The 34-year-old actor's dismissal marks the end of his time on the show where he had been featured since episode 38, with only brief intermissions. This decision stems from disturbing accusations made by multiple women who allege violent behavior on his part.

The situation escalated with accusations from singer Nora Lob, who alleges she experienced abuse after moving to Mallorca to live with Liedtke in April 2024. During their time together, Lob claims Liedtke subjected her to severe violence, including choking and imprisonment. She reported, "Ich habe riesige Angst" (I was terrified), indicating the distress she endured during this period. Lob emphasized, "Ich muss ein Leben lang damit leben, dass ich misshandelt wurde" (I will have to live with the fact I was abused for the rest of my life), expressing the emotional toll the experience had on her.

Prior to Lob's revelations, Liedtke faced similar serious accusations from his ex-girlfriend, Sharon Battiste, who also claimed he acted violently toward her. These past accusations are now part of the troubling pattern surrounding Liedtke's public image. Following Lob's complaint, she returned to Germany but felt compelled to file charges against him when she went back to Mallorca this January. The consequences for Liedtke were swift; he reportedly spent one night in custody, and upon investigation, authorities issued him a restraining order prohibiting him from coming within 200 meters of Lob.

Legal proceedings ensued, leading to Liedtke being sentenced to 22 days of community service—an outcome intended to address the serious nature of the allegations made against him. Despite the legal ramifications, Liedtke vehemently denies these allegations, claiming, "Ich habe nie mit Nora Lob liiert gewesen" (I was never involved with Nora Lob), and has announced plans to take legal action against what he calls defamation of character.

RTL, acknowledging the seriousness of the allegations, issued a statement declaring their decision to suspend cooperation with Liedtke as they continue to focus on other storylines within Köln 50667. A spokesperson from the network noted, "Die Vorwürfe gegen Danny Liedtke sind uns bekannt. Wir haben deshalb entschieden, die Zusammenarbeit mit ihm vorerst nicht fortzusetzen" (The allegations against Danny Liedtke are known to us. We have decided to suspend our collaboration with him for the time being).

The removal of Liedtke from the show not only affects his career but also raises broader discussions about accountability within the entertainment industry, especially concerning allegations of domestic violence. Experts and advocates stress the importance of supporting victims and addressing issues of abuse seriously.

The situation remains tense as the legal processes play out, and it’s unclear what the future holds for Liedtke within the reality television space. While he has been removed from the show, the public and media continue to monitor developments closely, anticipating the impact of these allegations on his career.

For viewers who had grown fond of Liedtke during his time on-screen, this news has been nothing short of shocking. The atmosphere surrounding Köln 50667 has undoubtedly shifted, as fans and cast members alike grapple with the gravity of these serious allegations. The series, which initially focused on the everyday lives and dramas of its characters, now faces scrutiny not only for its content but for the real-life events intertwining with the narrative of its cast.
