At Damietta port, authorities noted intense maritime activity, with 9 ships arriving and 11 ships departing, bringing the total number of vessels in the port to 35 as of March 22, 2025. According to local trade authorities, the port handled an impressive total of 13,806 tons of general cargo just in the last day. Key shipments included 2,480 tons of urea, 1,923 tons of cement, and 3,286 tons of clinker. Additionally, the port exported various goods such as 1,000 tons of white cement and 5,117 tons of diverse items, highlighting the diversity of Egyptian exported goods and indicating a robust commercial environment.
On the import side, Damietta port received 18,577 tons of general cargo, which included essential staples like 4,260 tons of corn and nearly 5,000 tons of soybeans.
