Daejeon Launches KORAIL-Linked Tourism Program

The initiative aims to enhance local tourism and attract visitors with tailored transportation and interactive experiences.

Daejeon City is stepping up its tourism game with the launch of a KORAIL-linked tourism program aimed at attracting visitors and invigorating local attractions. This new initiative, part of a partnership with KORAIL, offers tailored transportation solutions to tourists traveling to Daejeon.

The program is designed to cater to different group sizes, providing large buses for 20 to 40 visitors, mid-sized buses for 10 to 19 guests, and smaller vehicles such as vans or cars for groups of fewer than 10. This flexibility in transportation is part of Daejeon's strategy to enhance the tourism experience for its visitors, making travel as convenient as possible.

This year, the program boasts an array of 11 themed courses that link some of Daejeon's most noted tourist spots and experiential attractions. Leveraging the appealing 'Gguru Famili,' custom travel itineraries will also be available, adjusting to the needs and preferences of visiting tourists. This personalized approach surely adds to the overall attraction of Daejeon as a destination.

In addition to traditional tours, Daejeon is introducing a unique 'B-dae-myeon Tour' program. Tourists who partake in this experience will receive city memorabilia and 'Sungsim-dang' gift certificates as rewards for completing a designated challenge after registering in advance. This interactive component is a clever way to entice participation and keep tourists engaged.

The KORAIL-linked tourism program will be operational from March 2025 until December 2025, though it carries a caveat: the program may end prematurely if the designated budget is fully utilized before the year concludes. Hence, both tourists and locals interested in these offerings are encouraged to act quickly.

Applications for participation in the tourism program can be submitted through the Naver Smart Store, simplifying the process for potential visitors. For those requiring further details, inquiries can be directed to Merry Bin International at 042-254-4455, ensuring that all interested parties have access to the information they need.

This initiative by Daejeon City not only capitalizes on the city's strategic location in the rail network but also showcases its commitment to enriching local tourism and providing a satisfying experience for travelers. As the tourism landscape continues to evolve, collaborative programs such as the one with KORAIL demonstrate the potential for communities to leverage their resources for enhanced visitor engagement.
