As wildfires swept through parts of South Korea, the northern city of Daegu has witnessed a series of alarming fire outbreaks over the weekend prompting emergency responses from local authorities. The fire was extinguished by 11:30 AM after the deployment of seven helicopters, 33 vehicles, and 169 personnel.

On the previous night, before the fires in Suseong-gu and Buk-gu erupted, another significant fire broke out at an auto parts factory in Jungri-dong, Seo-gu, at around 10 PM. Despite the swift response from fire authorities, the situation escalated quickly. Just nine minutes after the fire started, emergency services declared a Stage 1 response, which was later elevated to Stage 2 by 11:17 PM.
To tackle the crisis, a large-scale response was initiated, with 81 vehicles and 170 personnel dedicated to extinguishing the factory fire. They successfully brought the flames under control by 2:47 AM on March 22, 2025. Unfortunately, the fire caused substantial damage, destroying 13 buildings within the factory complex.
