On April 12, 2025, the Da Nang Department of Tourism launched an exciting program to showcase the city’s tourism offerings under the theme "Enjoy Da Nang 2025 - Diverse Experience" at the VITM 2025 Fair. This initiative not only highlights the rich cultural heritage of Da Nang but also aims to attract more visitors to this vibrant coastal city.
At the VITM Hanoi 2025 Fair, Da Nang presented a variety of new and appealing tourism products, drawing interest from numerous localities participating in the "Central Heritage Region" booth. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, the Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, emphasized that "Enjoy Da Nang 2025 - Diverse Experience" is part of a broader national tourism stimulus program titled "Vietnam - Travel to Love," which includes three major communication campaigns.
The first campaign, which runs from March 15 to April 15, 2025, coincides with the 50th anniversary of Da Nang's liberation. This initiative has already shown promising results, with accommodation establishments serving approximately 2.53 million visitors in the first quarter of 2025. Following this, the second campaign, named "Enjoy Da Nang - Celebrating National Day 2.9," will take place from August 30 to October 31, 2025. The final campaign, "Enjoy Da Nang - Welcoming Christmas - Happy New Year 2026," is set for December 1, 2025, to January 1, 2026.
During the "Celebrating National Day 2.9" campaign, visitors can look forward to a plethora of events, including the International Fireworks Festival, the Asian Film Festival, and international sports competitions like IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam, SPRINT, and IRONKID on May 11, 2025. Notably, Da Nang will also offer free admission to certain tourist attractions on National Day, September 2, 2025, further encouraging tourism.
Additionally, the Da Nang Museum, which opened on March 29, 2025, will provide free entry until a fee resolution is established, and visitors can enjoy free experiences at Hai Van Quan. Major tourist destinations like Sun World Ba Na Hills are also getting in on the action, offering a 50% discount on tickets for domestic visitors, with cable car tickets priced at 350,000 VND and a combination ticket for a cable car ride and lunch buffet at 650,000 VND, available from August 30 to September 30, 2025.
Da Nang Downtown is rolling out special promotions for its All-in-One ticket, allowing adults to experience thrilling games for just 125,000 VND from August 30 to September 30, 2025. The "Enjoy Ba Na" combo packages are particularly appealing, offering two nights at 3-star, 4-star, or 5-star hotels alongside Ba Na cable car tickets (excluding transportation) starting at 990,000 VND, 1,190,000 VND, and 1,790,000 VND per guest, complete with gift vouchers for shows, accommodations, and dining options.
This is a golden opportunity for tourists to indulge in high-quality services at attractive prices. Furthermore, the unique travel packages combining accommodation with entertainment activities are designed to help visitors save costs while fully experiencing the beauty of the city.
In addition to these festivals, Da Nang is focusing on enhancing its tourism services to provide unforgettable experiences. A highlight is the culinary programs that allow tourists to savor Da Nang's signature dishes at various food stalls during the "Enjoy Da Nang 2025" festival. A new initiative, the Culinary Passport Da Nang, will enable tourists to explore the city’s unique cuisine through stamps collected at 50 culinary locations, offering not only delicious food but also enticing discounts at participating restaurants.
As night falls, Da Nang comes alive with various activities, including river cruises on the Han River, watching the Dragon Bridge breathe fire, and enjoying spectacular performances at shows like the Ao Dai Show, Tien Sa Show, and Charming Show. To attract international visitors, Da Nang is launching the "I Love Da Nang" program, featuring attractive gifts such as bags, conical hats, and over 12,000 discount vouchers ranging from 20-50% off tourism services.
Moreover, the Da Nang Tourism Association has partnered with the Vietnam MICE Tourism Branch and the Hai Phong City Tourism Association to facilitate the exchange of tourist sources and implement stimulus programs. This collaboration aims to enhance communication and promote the program across various platforms, ensuring it reaches a wide audience of potential travelers.
Meanwhile, on April 13, 2025, the Hanoi Department of Tourism concluded the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025 at the pedestrian space of Tran Nhan Tong Street in Hai Ba Trung district. This festival, themed "Hanoi Tourism – A World Heritage Destination," successfully celebrated the unique cultural heritage values of the capital through distinctive tourism gifts that narrate the rich historical and cultural stories of the city.
During the three-day event, the festival attracted over 30,000 visitors, including local residents, tourists from various provinces, and international guests. The festival featured more than 80 booths showcasing typical Hanoi products such as Bat Trang pottery from Gia Lam, Van Phuc silk from Ha Dong, Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan weaving, and Vong village cốm, all reflecting the cultural essence of the capital.
The festival also recreated famous heritage spaces of Hanoi, including the Thang Long Imperial Citadel and Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, while hosting photo exhibitions, virtual reality experiences, and introducing smart tourism models. These activities significantly enhanced the visitor experience and promoted digital transformation within the tourism sector.
Highlighting the festival were performances by the world's number one Pickleball athletes and vibrant displays of Vietnam's intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO, including hát ca trù, Đào Thục water puppetry, and hát Dô. These performances deepened visitors' understanding of Hanoi's rich cultural values.
The culinary space at the festival was equally impressive, featuring traditional dishes from Hanoi and regional specialties like tuna from Phu Yen, enriching the cultural tapestry of the event. Trần Trung Hiếu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, expressed gratitude to artisans, businesses, media agencies, and partners, emphasizing that the festival contributed to spreading cultural values and establishing a solid foundation for developing distinctive tourism products aligned with modern travel trends.
In 2024, Hanoi's tourism industry welcomed over 27.88 million visitors, including 6.37 million international tourists, generating approximately 110,660 billion VND in total revenue. This marked significant growth, with increases of 12.7%, 34.8%, and 18.5% compared to 2023. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, Hanoi received 1.8 million visitors, with over 1.3 million being international guests, reflecting a 17.3% increase compared to the same period last year.
The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025 stands out as a key initiative to implement the City People's Committee's Plan No. 76/KH-UBND, aimed at developing tourism products linked to culture and heritage.
