Cultural Bonanza Awaits This Week In Vendée

From art exhibitions to digital adventures, the Vendée region offers diverse events for all ages and interests.

Rich cultural events are set to take place across Vendée, France, from February 24 to March 2, 2025. With offerings ranging from art exhibitions and workshops to digital treasure hunts, there’s something for everyone eager to engage with the local arts and culture. This week promises to be lively and full of creativity, offering opportunities for both relaxation and creative exploration.

Beginning on February 24, the Nesmy media library will host the exhibition titled 'J'ai fait ex Spray,' showcasing the works of graffiti artist Joks. This exhibition invites visitors to the fascinating world of street art, featuring stunning portraits and canvas paintings made with spray techniques. The exhibition is free to the public and will open at 16:30 on the first day.

On the following day, February 25, families can participate in the innovative digital treasure hunt named 'Le portail temporel de Belleville-sur-Vie' taking place at Bellevigny. This exciting venture, launched back in October 2024, promises to deliver memorable experiences for participants of all ages. This event also costs nothing to attend.

For adults interested in arts and crafts, there will be porcelain painting classes every Thursday afternoon at Soullans. Taught by artist Marie Christine, these workshops are perfect for those wanting to enrich their creative skills without the necessity of prior drawing experience. The fee for participation varies, priced at €35 or €55 depending on the materials used.

Also scheduled for February 25 is the screening of short films under the theme 'Partageons nos différences' (Let’s Share Our Differences) at La Châtaigneraie. The focus of this film series will be 'L'enfant et le handicap' (The Child and Disability), addressing the experiences of children with disabilities as part of its educational and inclusive aims. The screening is free of charge as well.

For the senior community, the PEPS Eurêka workshops, which aim to maintain mental agility and memory, will commence on February 25 at La Taillée. Running for 10 sessions on Tuesdays, these workshops offer practical strategies and exercises for improving memory function. The sessions will start at 09:30 and are also free.

Overall, the diverse range of events taking place during this week reveals the cultural vibrancy and the recreational opportunities present within Vendée. From artistic engagements to educational workshops, there is ample chance to discover new interests and deepen community ties through shared experiences. Whether you’re attending concerts, exhibitions, or participating in discussions, the Vendée area has much to offer during this dynamic week.
