CUET UG 2025 Registrations Now Open Until March 22

National Testing Agency starts CUET UG registration, with exams scheduled from May 8 to June 1, 2025.

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened registrations for the Common University Entrance Test undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025 today, March 1, 2025. Eligible students can apply through the dedicated website cuet.nta.nic.in. This initiative aims to facilitate students seeking admissions to undergraduate programs across various disciplines at central, state, private, and deemed universities.

The CUET UG examination will take place from May 8 to June 1, 2025. This year's application window is open until March 22, 2025, providing aspiring candidates ample time to complete their registrations. The NTA has introduced necessary protocol, emphasizing the importance of filling the application accurately to avoid disqualification.

Students planning to appear for the CUET UG must check the eligibility criteria outlined by the NTA. Those who have appeared for the Class 12 board examinations or have qualifications equivalent to it are eligible to register for the examination. The NTA has also set up multiple channels for candidate support, including email ([email protected]) and phone assistance (011-40759000, 011-69227700).

The structure of the CUET UG 2025 examinations has undergone changes compared to previous years. Now, candidates can only select up to five subjects to appear for the exam. This reduction from the previous allowance of six subjects aims to streamline the examination process and make it more efficient. This year’s examination will consist solely of compulsory questions, with no optional challenges, meaning candidates must prepare thoroughly for 50 mandatory questions.

To register for CUET UG 2025, candidates need to provide several documents, including their Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, and must have proof of identity, such as an Aadhar card or driving license. This ensures the authenticity of candidates and helps prevent any irregularities during the admission process.

According to the NTA, the application procedure is completely online. Students must navigate to the CUET UG 2025 link on the NTA's official website, create their account, and fill out the form with their personal and educational details. Following the submission, candidates may need to upload scanned copies of required documents and photographs. The application fee varies based on the categories listed, such as:

OBCINR 900INR 375
SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third GenderINR 800INR 350

The CUET UG syllabus emphasizes subjects relevant to the domains the candidates wish to pursue. Each section of the examination will assess competencies through multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and will last for exactly 60 minutes, allowing candidates to prepare effectively within this timeframe.

Commenting on the changes, the NTA stated, "Candidates can apply for CUET (UG) - 2025 through the 'Online' mode only on the website cuet.nta.nic.in. The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted." This step aims to improve the efficiency of the admission process and reduce the chance of errors, ensuring fairness and accessibility for all applicants.

The introduction of these fresh protocols aims to improve the integrity and efficacy of the CUET UG exam. With 287 universities across India expected to accept CUET scores for admissions this year, it reaffirms the CUET’s role as a pivotal component for undergraduates seeking higher education. Aspiring students are encouraged to keep all necessary documents on hand to facilitate the smooth completion of the registration process.

For candidates eager to pursue undergraduate courses, the CUET UG 2025 stands as the gateway to numerous opportunities across India’s academic institutions. Prospective applicants are urged to act quickly and complete their registrations before the March 22 deadline to secure their chance to participate in the examination slated for May 8 to June 1, 2025.

With these measures implemented for CUET UG 2025, students can expect improvements not only in the registration process but also during the examination itself, following the NTA’s commitment to transparency and fairness in educational assessments.
