CTET July 2025 Application Process Starts Amid Confusion

Authorities clarify rumors of cancellation and syllabus reduction for central teacher eligibility exam.

In the face of rising inquiries regarding the upcoming Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2025, various updates and clarifications have surfaced to help potential candidates navigate the current confusion surrounding the exam.

The CTET, administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), serves as a benchmark for evaluating the eligibility of teachers in primary (classes 1 to 5) and upper primary (classes 6 to 8) education. As the application process has officially begun, candidates are eagerly awaiting further information regarding examination specifics.

Recent reports circulating online caused notable concern among aspiring applicants, claiming that the CTET July 2025 notification had been canceled and that prior applications would be deemed void. Social media posts suggested that the examination was postponed, igniting anxiety among many hopeful candidates.

However, it has now been confirmed by CBSE that these allegations are unfounded. Following an extensive verification process, no changes nor cancellations have been made to the CTET July 2025 notification. Candidates are encouraged to disregard any circulating misinformation regarding the exam or its notifications.

The CTET July 2025 exam will indeed take place in an offline mode, featuring two papers tailored for distinct teaching levels. Paper I will target primary teachers (for classes 1-5) while Paper II will cater to upper primary teachers (for classes 6-8). Notably, the examination is scheduled for July 6, 2025, with the respective timings set for the first shift from 9:30 AM to 12 PM and the second shift from 2 PM to 4:30 PM.

In light of these updates, it's pertinent to note the changes implemented for this year's examination. CBSE announced an important modification: candidates will complete their examinations based on the syllabus extending only up to the 8th class standards. This adjustment has been met with relief from several candidates, allowing them to prepare with a clearer focus.

Details on the syllabus for both papers are as follows:

  • Paper I (Classes I-V): Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies, totaling 150 questions for 150 marks.

  • Paper II (Classes VI-VIII): Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics/Science or Social Studies, also totaling 150 questions for 150 marks.

Application procedures have commenced, with essential steps for candidates outlined as follows:

  1. Visit the official CTET website (ctet.nic.in).

  2. Initiate registration by clicking on “New Registration” and provide necessary details, including your name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.

  3. Complete the application form with personal and educational details and select your preferred examination center.

  4. Choose to apply for Paper I or Paper II—or both.

  5. Upload necessary documents, including a scanned photo and signature.

  6. Pay the applicable fees online and submit the form, retaining a printout for future reference.

Regarding the examination fee, candidates from the General/OBC category must pay ₹1000 for either Paper I or II, and ₹1200 for both. Applicants from the SC/ST category will pay ₹500 for either paper or ₹600 for both. It is crucial for all candidates to stay informed on these essential details as they prepare for the examination.

It’s widely believed that approximately 25 to 30 lakh candidates are anticipated to apply for the upcoming CTET July 2025 exam, emphasizing the importance of clear communication from CBSE and the adherence to official announcements to avoid unnecessary panic.

At present, candidates are advised to follow reliable channels for updates and notifications, ensuring they engage only with verified information. This will be crucial in achieving a smooth and well-informed application process for the CTET July 2025.

As candidates gear up for this pivotal examination, the importance of meticulous preparation cannot be stressed enough. Utilizing past examination papers and participating in mock tests will greatly assist in familiarizing oneself with the exam format and managing time efficiently.

In conclusion, while changes may stir anxiety among prospective candidates, it’s vital to focus on the accurate information provided directly by CBSE.
