The Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab) has opened registrations for its 2025 public competition, offering a total of 403 vacancies across Brazil. This recruitment drive is aimed at professionals with medium, technical, and higher education levels, with salaries ranging from R$3,459.87 for assistant positions to R$8,140.88 for analyst roles.
As of April 14, 2025, candidates can apply online through the Instituto Consulpam website, with the application window closing at 23:59 on May 15, 2025. The registration fees are set at R$50 for medium-level positions and R$80 for higher-level positions. Notably, applicants who qualify for fee exemptions, such as bone marrow donors and those registered in the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico), can request a waiver from April 14 to April 20, 2025.
The Conab competition is particularly significant as it has recently undergone important changes. A rectification published on April 11, 2025, modified aspects of the competition, including the schedule, test duration, programmatic content, and requirements for certain positions. These updates are crucial for candidates to ensure they are adequately prepared.
For the assistant roles, there are 34 positions available, primarily in administrative, accounting, agricultural, and information technology sectors. Candidates for these positions must have completed secondary education or possess a technical qualification. On the other hand, the analyst positions, which number 369, require candidates to hold a higher education degree in various fields, including administration, engineering, law, and more.
The tests for the Conab competition are scheduled for July 13, 2025. The morning session will focus on objective and discursive tests for analyst candidates, while the afternoon session will cater to assistant candidates, who will only take the objective test. Candidates for assistant positions will have four hours to complete their 100-question exam, which consists of 40 questions on Basic Knowledge and 60 on Specific Knowledge. For analyst positions, the test will include 80 questions, divided into 30 on Basic Knowledge and 50 on Specific Knowledge, along with a discursive test requiring an essay of 20 to 30 lines.
One of the notable adjustments in the recent rectification is the change in the payment deadline for the registration fee. Candidates now have until May 16, 2025, to complete their payments, extending the original deadline. Additionally, the duration of the tests has been modified: assistant candidates will have four hours for their objective test, while analyst candidates will have four hours and thirty minutes to complete both their objective and discursive tests.
Changes have also been made regarding the qualifications for the analyst position in the Marketing sector, which has been rebranded as Communication Social/Marketing. This update allows for a broader range of educational backgrounds, including degrees in Public Relations and Organizational Communication. Meanwhile, the requirement for the Journalism specialization has been simplified, now only requiring a degree in Journalism and removing the previous necessity for a Marketing qualification.
As candidates prepare for the assessments, they are advised to review the updated programmatic content, especially for areas such as Accounting, Archiving, and Communication Social/Marketing, as these have undergone significant changes that could affect their study plans.
With the competition expected to attract a large number of applicants, candidates are encouraged to stay informed about all updates and ensure they meet the new requirements and deadlines. The final results of the selection process are anticipated to be announced on September 4, 2025, with the possibility of forming a reserve list for future vacancies.
Overall, the Conab competition presents a promising opportunity for job seekers across Brazil, offering competitive salaries and a range of benefits, including life insurance, transportation assistance, and a supplementary pension plan. As the application deadline approaches, prospective candidates should act swiftly to secure their place in this important recruitment drive.
