Community Remembers Loved Ones With Heartfelt Tributes

Families across different regions gather to celebrate the lives and legacies of cherished individuals

Losing loved ones is never easy, and the community often gathers to celebrate their lives, honor their memories, and provide support to grieving families. Across different regions, various tributes have been announced, providing insights not only about the individuals who have passed but also their legacies and the impact they had on those around them.

One of the first tributes includes Lynda Marjorie Beggs, affectionately known as Hicks, who unfortunately passed away at her home in Brisbane, Australia, on October 16, 2024. Surrounded by her devoted husband David and cherished children Andrew and Katherine, Lynda leaves behind treasured memories as a beloved wife, mother, and sister. Her funeral service is set for November 12 at 11:30 AM at Bramcote Crematorium, where family and friends are expected to gather, and donations can be made to the PSP Association.

Another heartfelt tribute goes to Bernard Patrick Brady, who left this world peacefully on October 22, 2024, at the age of 93. He was known as a loving husband, companion, priest, and friend. Bernard’s evening reception is scheduled at St. Barnabas Cathedral on November 19, with the Requiem Mass of Thanksgiving taking place the following morning. Friends can make donations to the Nottinghamshire Hospice to honor his memory willingly.

Tragedy struck with the passing of 68-year-old Steven Collishaw on October 28, 2024, at Hayward House. He was deeply cherished by his family and friends. His funeral service will take place on November 14, where attendees can express their sympathy with donations to Hayward House.

On October 16, 2024, the community bid farewell to Brendan Finn at the age of 72. Known for his kind and gentle soul, he formerly resided in Ballycroy, County Mayo, Ireland. Brendan’s reposing will be at the A W Lymn Funeral Home, and his funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Carlton Hill. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Carlton Cemetery, as family and friends gather to celebrate his life.

Denise Ethel Hadfield (née Brown) passed away on October 20, 2024, at the age of 81, surrounded by her beloved family. After struggling through years of ill health, she is now at peace. A private celebration of her life is scheduled for November 13, and she will be remembered fondly by her children and grandchildren.

Jacqueline Hall, aged 82, passed away peacefully at Queen's Medical Centre on October 20, 2024. She was deeply loved by her family, including her children Tina, Martin, Stephanie, Zoe, and Dominic, as well as her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jacqueline was actively involved with her local church community and will be missed dearly. Her funeral service is set for November 15 at St. Paul’s Church, where donations will be collected for the Geriatric Assessment Unit.

Sylvia Gladys Hollingworth, aged 87, also left us recently, passing away peacefully at Camden Care Home on October 18, 2024. She was the much-missed mother and grandmother of her late husband Raymond. Sylvia’s funeral service will take place at St. Giles' Church before she is laid to rest.

Peter Ridal's passing on October 25, 2024, marks the loss of another cherished community member. He will be remembered by family and friends as they gather for his funeral service at Bramcote Crematorium on November 25. Donations will be directed toward the Baptist Missionary Society to honor Peter’s legacy.

Carol Statham, aged 77, passed away on October 12, 2024. She will be remembered for her infectious spirit and dedication to her family. A service to celebrate her life will happen on November 13 at Bramcote Crematorium, with donations supporting Cancer Research UK.

Among those who passed recently is Don Troy, who left this world on October 2, 2024. Fondly remembered at 63, his funeral service is scheduled for November 19, where attendees can support the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance through kind donations.

Notably, we also honor Edith Tyminski, who peacefully passed away on October 15, 2024, at 96 years of age. Her family will be holding her funeral service at Wilford Hill Crematorium on November 20, with donations preferred for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.

Finally, Sylvia Worthington, aged 98, passed away on October 11, 2024. She is survived by family and friends, and her funeral service will take place on November 14, with donations supporting the RNLI.
