Marking the holiday season with joy, the DeKalb Community is gearing up for its annual Guns and Hoses charity basketball game. Slated for December 2 at Huntley Middle School, this friendly rivalry pits local first responders against staff from the DeKalb School District and promises to be both thrilling and impactful. Admission to the game costs $5 or the donation of one new, unwrapped toy – terms which encourage the spirit of giving among attendees.
Ray Hernandez, captain of the Guns and Hoses team, expressed enthusiasm for both the competition and the cause, hoping to inspire the community to show support through this event. “We hope to drum up some friendly competition but also a great deal of support from the community.
