Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and communities are gearing up for the celebration with various events aimed at spreading love and fostering connections. Across different locations, residents will have opportunities to enjoy dances, crafting parties, group weddings, and much more.

One of the highlighted events is the Carrollton Parks and Recreation Department’s Daddy/Daughter and Mother/Son Valentine dances. Scheduled for February 8 at the Depot on Bradley, the theme “Altogether Memorable” promises not just dancing, but also dinner, dessert, and exciting door prizes. The day kicks off with events for pre-K through third-grade girls at 11 AM, followed by activities for pre-K to sixth-grade boys at 3 PM, and concludes with the fourth through eighth-grade girls dancing at 7 PM. Tickets are priced at $30 for couples if purchased in advance, and $50 at the door, with more details available on their website. Meanwhile, Gypsy Soul Antiques & Things is hosting its Mother/Daughter Valentine’s Day Craft Party on January 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. This event promises to be creatively engaging, with crafts, snacks, and Valentine-themed giveaways planned. Attendees will create charming heart block home décor projects under the guidance of Emily Bussman from Sips N Strokes Cullman. The event is open to women of all ages and costs $20 per person, which includes all craft supplies and refreshments. Lindsey Blackwood, the event organizer, noted, "My daughters and I have always enjoyed doing crafts together, so I thought it would be nice to have a night where ladies, young and old, could gather together to do something creative." Couples planning to tie the knot can take part in the fifth annual Valentine’s Day Group Wedding organized by the Manatee County Clerk's Office. Scheduled for February 14 at 2 PM outside the Historic Courthouse, this unique event will be officiated by Clerk Angel Colonneso. Couples must secure their marriage licenses beforehand and can register online until February 7. The event aims to create not just marriages but communal celebrations of love.

On February 8, the Dragonflies Boutique is hosting a Galentine’s Fiesta, inviting Laredo women to gather for fun and friendship with red-and-pink-themed festivities. Featuring The Right Track, this event showcases R&B, soul, and funk music, and is open to everyone regardless of whether they attend solo or with loved ones. Not to be outdone, the Kentucky Humane Society has introduced puppy visits as a special Valentine’s gift. For a $200 donation, love-struck locals can gift their friends or family members with 30-minute visits featuring puppies, flowers, and tasty treats. Scheduled for February 13 and 14, these adorable experiences are limited to just 15 spots, creating the perfect opportunity for puppy lovers to reconnect.
