Coles Launches Harry Potter Campaign To Promote Fresh Food Consumption

Shoppers can collect themed disks and participate in interactive games, encouraging healthy eating habits for families.

Coles, one of Australia’s largest supermarket chains, has launched a magical new campaign featuring the beloved Harry Potter franchise aimed at encouraging families to consume more fresh food. Beginning this month, shoppers can collect Harry Potter-themed disks with every $30 spent either in-store or online, bringing a whimsical twist to healthy eating.

The collectible collection includes 72 disks showcasing iconic characters such as Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Professor Dumbledore, and Lord Voldemort. What’s more, these disks are environmentally friendly, crafted from 100 percent FSC-certified cardboard, reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainability.

The initiative offers families four exciting ways to play with the disks:

  • Collect and Connect: Stack and connect the disks to create imaginative towers and structures.

  • Duelling Game: Use points from the disks to challenge one another to wizard duels.

  • Stack ‘em & Whack ‘em: Test agility by stacking disks and slamming them to see which ones land face-up for bonus points.

  • Collect and Trade: Trade disks among friends and family to complete collections and earn points for their Hogwarts house.

To deepen the engagement, Coles has introduced the Hogwarts Fresh Food Challenge, which motivates children to consume their recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables. Families accumulate points for their Hogwarts house by eating fresh produce, with items like watermelon and cucumber assigned specific point values. This friendly competition culminates with the house accumulating the most points being awarded the coveted House Cup.

To sweeten the deal, shoppers can also boost their disk collection by purchasing select products from participating brands such as Nutri-Grain and Nescafe to earn bonus disk packs.

Amanda McVay, Coles' Chief Customer Officer, expressed her excitement about this unique initiative. "It’s a perfect mix of fun and collectability, bringing the magic of Harry Potter to everyday life," she stated. McVay emphasized the inclusivity of the campaign open to fans across all Hogwarts houses, making the experience enjoyable for everyone involved.

The campaign not only promotes healthy eating among children but also allows them to revel in the enchanting world of Harry Potter. It’s expected to strengthen family connections through collaborative play, all the meanwhile ensconcing valuable lessons about nutrition.

With the combination of educational elements and play, this campaign exemplifies how brands can creatively engage families. Coles invites parents and children to star together as they indulge their imaginations and enjoy the rewarding benefits of incorporating more fresh fruits and vegetables before your very eyes.

With the Harry Potter themed collection and engaging gameplay, families can look forward to both healthy meals and magical memories.
