Cloudy Weather And Rain Expected Across Poland Today

The southeast enjoys milder temperatures while the rest of the country prepares for showers and shifting weather patterns.

Poland is bracing for a mostly cloudy day on March 26, 2025, with rain expected across many regions, especially in central areas. However, the southeastern part of the country is expected to enjoy clearer skies and warmer temperatures.

Morning forecasts indicate a stark contrast in temperature, ranging from a cool 9 degrees Celsius in the north to a pleasant 17 degrees Celsius in the southeast. This broad temperature difference highlights the climatic variances experienced across the nation.

Residents in central Poland should prepare for intermittent rainfall, which could amount to 4 liters per square meter. Meanwhile, the northwestern regions may see up to 1 liter per square meter. Fortunately, the rain is not expected to affect the southeastern region, although morning fog and increased cloud cover may present challenges for early risers.

The wind will predominantly come from the southwest, shifting to the west and northwest as the day progresses. Wind strength will generally be weak to moderate, though sporadic gusts in northern Poland could reach up to 30-40 kilometers per hour.

Biometeorological conditions on the day appear mixed, with humidity levels ranging from around 50% in the southeast to over 90% in areas stretching from Masuria and Podlasie to Lubusz Land. While most areas will likely experience comfortable thermal conditions, the north will feel notably colder, with the south basking in warmth.

In the capital, Warsaw, the day promises moderate to heavy cloud cover, with temperatures expected to peak at 10 degrees Celsius. There is potential for light rain as well. By midday, atmospheric pressure will register around 1002 hPa.

The coastal trio of Gdynia, Gdańsk, and Sopot will also see extensive cloudiness on March 26, along with chances of weak and sporadic rain. The temperature will barely reach 9 degrees Celsius, and moderate winds from the north-west are expected, bringing atmospheric pressure up to 1016 hPa around noon.

Traveling inward, residents of Poznań can expect a similarly cloudy day with the potential for light rain and a high of 11 degrees Celsius. With moderate winds from the west, pressure is set to be around 1006 hPa by midday.

Wrocław will mirror conditions seen in Poznań, with heavy clouds and light rain. Expect maximum temperatures to reach 11 degrees Celsius, except the barometric pressure will be approximately 1003 hPa at noon.

The weather will be a bit more hospitable in Kraków, where the morning is expected to start cloudy with low-lying fog before clearing later in the day. The city is set for a high of 15 degrees Celsius, but similar atmospheric trends with shifting winds and overall fall in pressure are likely.

As evening approaches, the northern regions will experience a drop in temperature, potentially leading to frost in the southeastern areas overnight. Current expectations for the evening are that the barometic pressure will rise and then fluctuate in response to changes in temperature.

A glance ahead reveals that a night filled with clouds and occasional rainfall will transition into a new day marked by continued precipitation and shifting temperatures across Poland. Weather conditions will sketch a tantalizing picture of spring transitioning with the promise of warmth in the coming days.

For those interested in the weather effects on health, biometeorological conditions will show neutral conditions overall, although with adverse potential in certain areas, especially towards the less warm northern regions.
