Citroën UK has celebrated the achievements of its retailers at the annual Citroën Chevron Awards, held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at De Vere Cotswold Water Park, where former England rugby captain Will Carling served as a guest speaker. The event recognized outstanding performance across the Citroën network, bringing together retailers from various categories who were assessed on their sales, aftercare, battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and customer relationship management.
Designed to foster healthy competition, the awards grouped retailers into leagues based on size—small, medium, and large. This year, J&A Rigbye distinguished itself by securing both the ‘Overall Retailer of the Year’ and ‘Medium Retailer of the Year’ awards, ranking highest across multiple performance metrics. Dealer Principal John Rigbye expressed his delight, stating: "We are thrilled to have won the Citroën Chevron Award for both the Medium Retailer of the Year and Overall Retailer of the Year. We are a family run business and have been a Citroën retailer since 1989, winning multiple awards. Customer satisfaction is at our core, and it is great for our incredibly dedicated and longstanding team to be recognised in this way. We look forward to continuing our journey of providing exceptional service and driving Citroën to new heights, particularly with the arrival of the New ë-C3 marking an exciting year ahead."
Citroën UK Managing Director Greg Taylor also took the opportunity to congratulate the achievers, emphasizing the importance of recognition in the automotive sector: "At Citroën, we take great pride in recognising the retailers and individuals who consistently deliver excellence for the brand. The Chevron Awards not only highlight top performance but also the dedication and customer-first approach that define our network. With the arrival of the New C3, New-C3 Aircross, New C4, and soon New C5 Aircross, it’s an exciting time for Citroën, and our retailers will play a crucial role in making it a success. A huge congratulations to this year’s winners and thank you to all our retailers for their hard work and commitment last year."
Among the notable winners at the Chevron Awards, Wilmoths Ashford was recognized as ‘Small Retailer of the Year’, while Sherwoods Sunderland took home the title for ‘Large Retailer of the Year’. Stellantis & You, Leicester earned accolades for ‘Most Improved Retailer’, and Chorley Group, Wigan received the ‘RRPC BEV Retailer of the Year’ award. The individual accolades for sales performance were presented to:
- Peter Turner from Bristol Street Motors, Worcester for Sales Executive of the Year (Small Retailer).
- Sean Black from Chorley Group, Blackpool for Sales Executive of the Year (Medium Retailer).
- Bernard Roles from Evans Halshaw, Cardiff for Sales Executive of the Year (Large Retailer).

- Bradley Trowman from WR Davies, Stafford for Sales Manager of the Year (Medium Retailer).

The Chevron Awards ceremony not only highlighted the accomplishments of individual retailers but also served to underscore the strong sense of community within the Citroën network. By grouping participants based on size, the awards promote fair competition, ensuring that each retailer can be evaluated on a level playing field. The rigorous assessment criteria included factors such as customer service, sales figures, and engagement with battery electric vehicles—important aspects of modern automotive retailing.
With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, Citroën continues to adapt to market changes, preparing for a range of new vehicle launches that align with contemporary consumer preferences. As articulated by Greg Taylor, the anticipation surrounding new models, such as the New C3 and New C5 Aircross, sets the stage for another successful year for Citroën dealers.
As the evening concluded, the awards served as a testament to the dedication and expertise present within the Citroën retail network. The Chevron Awards are not just about celebrating numbers; they reflect a commitment to quality and excellence that's crucial to the brand's identity in a competitive market. Looking ahead, the spirit of teamwork and customer focus that characterized this year's awards will undoubtedly fuel the continuing success of Citroën UK and its valued retailers.
