On April 20, 2025, a city-wide Easter procession will take place, starting at 16:00 from the Holy Trinity Cathedral. Throughout the celebrations, police and medical personnel will be on duty to maintain safety and assist attendees as needed.
In Barnaul, the Easter service will take place at the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, starting at 23:30 on April 19, 2025. Led by Metropolitan Sergius of Barnaul and Altai, the service will be broadcast live by the Katun 24 TV channel. This event promises to be a grand occasion, with the service expected to last three to four hours. At midnight, attendees will participate in a procession around the church, followed by Easter Matins where they can receive communion and bless Easter cakes.
To accommodate the influx of worshippers, Barnaul will also launch night public transport routes, allowing people to return home via tram or trolleybus after the festivities.
