Central Japan International Airport has announced an exciting partnership with United Airlines, offering a chance for 20 lucky travelers to win complimentary round-trip tickets on the Chubu-Guam route. This initiative is part of the airport's 20th anniversary celebrations, which highlights its commitment to enhancing travel experiences for its passengers. The campaign runs until April 15, 2025, and entry is straightforward—interested individuals only need to register through United Airlines' official LINE account.
This unique promotion aims to commemorate two decades of operation since the airport opened in 2005, and encourages more travelers to explore Guam, known for its beautiful beaches and rich culture.
Meanwhile, the Guam government has also been actively engaging with potential students and travelers at the recently held 24th E:dm World Study Abroad Fair in Seoul, which took place from March 8 to March 9, 2025. As the only government agency from overseas to participate, the Guam Tourism Office showcased a variety of educational opportunities, including customized education programs such as early study abroad, English camps, and language training for visitors of all ages.
During the fair, visitors received free educational guidebooks, while those who participated in surveys were rewarded with special gifts. An exciting highlight of the event was a raffle for round-trip tickets to Guam, designed to entice international students and families considering English-language education options.
Park Ji-hun, the director of Guam Tourism Office's Korea branch, emphasized the island’s advantages: “Guam is the ideal destination for English language education, equipped with a safe environment and excellent educational infrastructure. We intend to continue supporting students and parents interested in studying abroad in Guam, ensuring they receive beneficial information.”
Additionally, for those enthusiastic about combining travel with fitness, Modetour has rolled out a special package for the upcoming '2025 Guam Ko'ko Road Race'. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Guam Marathon includes various events aimed at promoting awareness for the endangered Ko'ko bird, Guam's national bird.
The marathon, which began in 2006, will take place over two days—from April 12 to April 13, 2025. The first day features the 'Ko'ko Kids Fun Run', allowing younger participants to engage in a supportive environment divided into three categories by age. This family-friendly event includes exciting activities such as climbing, ATV experiences, and a small animal petting farm, ensuring a delightful experience for children.
On the following day, adult participants can challenge themselves with a 21km half marathon along a scenic route that traces the beautiful coastline from Tumon Beach to Ipao Beach. This offers not only a chance to exercise but to enjoy breathtaking views of Guam’s natural beauty as runners traverse this stunning landscape.
An innovative new addition to this year's marathon is the 'Ekiden Relay Marathon'. Teams of four will alternate running 5km segments, making it a collaborative and social way to participate in the race. This course runs through some of Guam’s key roadways, finishing at the Guam Premier Outlets (GPO), making it an excellent way to experience the island's urban and natural settings.
Modetour's managing director, Lee De-hyuk, shared that this initiative aims to activate sports tourism alongside the Guam Tourism Office: “Guam is a place where one can enjoy both healing retreats and diverse sports. We hope this event offers participants a special experience, blending fitness and vacationing.”
As these promotional campaigns gain momentum, they not only highlight the opportunities available in Guam but also serve as a celebration of the rich cultural and environmental heritage of the island. From the exciting marathon events to the chance to win an unforgettable trip, both Central Japan International Airport and the Guam government are encouraging communities to connect through travel, education, and recreation.
