In an exciting development for fans of Korean cinema, rising stars Choo Young Woo and Shin Shi Ah are reportedly set to lead the cast in the Korean remake of the popular Japanese romance film "Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight." This news was confirmed on April 17, 2025, by K-media Sports Chosun, which noted that Choo Young Woo has officially confirmed his participation, while Shin Shi Ah is currently in discussions to join him.

The film, based on the novel by Ichijo Misaki, tells a poignant story of love and memory. It revolves around two high school students: Kim Jae Won, played by Choo Young Woo, and Han Seo Yoon, portrayed by Shin Shi Ah. The narrative begins with Jae Won, an emotionally numb boy battling a hereditary heart condition, who lives a colorless life. His existence takes a turn when he meets Seo Yoon, a bright girl suffering from anterograde amnesia, where her memory resets every time she falls asleep.

Despite the challenges of their circumstances, the two characters form a bond that is both tender and bittersweet. Jae Won initially asks Seo Yoon out to protect her from bullying, leading to a series of clauses that govern their relationship, including a stipulation against falling in love. However, as they spend time together, their feelings grow, complicating their situation further when Seo Yoon begins to recover her memories.

Shin Shi Ah, known for her role in the Netflix medical drama "Resident Playbook," has already showcased her acting prowess in films like "The Witch: Part 2. The Other One" (2022). She is also set to appear in the upcoming film "The Old Woman With The Knife," which is scheduled for release on May 1, 2025. Choo Young Woo, on the other hand, has gained recognition for his performances in "The Trauma Code" and "The Tale of Lady Ok" (2024), and he has reportedly been offered the lead role in the upcoming project "Long Vacation," directed by the creator of the hit series "Crash Landing on You."

Similarly, Shin Shi Ah's agency, ANDMARQ, confirmed that she has received the offer and is currently in discussions. The remake is set to be directed by Kim Hye Young, known for her work on the acclaimed film "IT'S OKAY!"
