The enthusiasm and commitment with which Amalia López arrived at the Redil have paid off, as the young Rojiblanca will be registered with the Guadalajara First Team for the 2025 Clausura of the Liga MX Femenil.
The skillful Mexican-American grew up playing soccer from a very young age, starting her career in indoor soccer and futsal. There, she developed both field vision and individual skill beyond what most young players achieve. This foundation helped her make the leap to 11-a-side soccer competitions.
It was her undeniable talent, which attracted attention from several clubs within the Liga MX Femenil, yet Amalia had her heart set on one destination—Chivas Femenil. The club’s scouting system recognized her potential and offered her the chance to join their Under-19 team, setting her on the path to integrate with the First Team.
After joining the Rojiblanca preseason training camp held at Isla Navidad, López quickly stood out among her peers. Her ball control, tactical awareness, and powerful mid-range shot caught the eyes of coaches and teammates alike. The season began on a positive note; she made her debut against rival Atlas just five minutes after kick-off, making quite the impression.
Throughout the AP24 season, she played four matches with the First Team and scored what can only be described as a stunning goal against Necaxa. With confidence, she positioned herself at the edge of the penalty area, struck the ball perfectly, and sent it crashing against the net.
Prior to her time with the First Team, Amalia was also making waves at the U19 level, completing 11 games and scoring five impressive goals. Her contributions helped the U19 team craft their way to the Quarterfinals, marking her as one of the promising talents of the franchise.
With the intent to bolster the Rojiblanco squad as they approach the CL25 season, the Guadalajara Femenil Sports Directorate officially registered Amalia López to the First Team. This decision reaffirms the club's commitment to scouting and integrating the best available Mexican talent as they look to continue their legacy as the most beloved and popular team in the country.
