The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, held from January 7 to 10, is poised to showcase groundbreaking advancements and innovations across multiple technology sectors, with mobility taking center stage. The event, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will feature numerous industry leaders and over 1,400 startups eager to demonstrate their latest products and solutions.
One of the most anticipated highlights of CES 2025 will be the keynote address by Tekedra Mawakana, co-CEO of Waymo, the Google subsidiary recognized as a leader in autonomous ride-hailing. Mawakana's insights will set the tone for discussions on the future of autonomous driving technologies. "Expect incredible advances across artificial intelligence, digital health and wellness, and the entire mobility ecosystem, from connected and autonomous cars to construction, aviation, and aquatic vehicles," stated John Kelley, President of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and CES show director, during a press conference held last month.
At CES, major automotive manufacturers such as Hyundai will demonstrate cutting-edge air travel technologies, and John Deere and Oshkosh will showcase their innovations in smart agricultural and construction vehicles, highlighting the diverse applications of technological advancements. The new Mobility Stage will also host dynamic presentations from leading figures within the mobility industry, setting the stage for the future of transport.
Artificial intelligence continues to dominate the CES agenda, reflecting its growing importance across industries. "AI is across the entire show floor. Every category is talking about AI and their different products and solutions, and we’re loving it," remarked Kinsey Fabrizio, CTA President. The innovations will include AI-powered digital twins, enterprise software for smart factories, climate forecasting tools, and AI chips to drive enhanced computing power.
One standout collaboration this year is between STRADVISION, a leader in AI-based vision perception technology, and Renesas Electronics Corporation, which has unveiled the integration of STRADVISION’s SVNet software with Renesas' R-Car Open Access (RoX) development platform. During CES, STRADVISION will present an innovative demo showcasing their 3D perception system propelled by an 8MP Front View Camera, which promises to usher advancements in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and align with the anticipated growing demand for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs).
Philip Vidal, Chief Business Officer at STRADVISION, stated, "This collaboration [with Renesas] showcases the integration of STRADVISION’s SVNet software. By working closely with Renesas, we are delivering innovative technologies... for automotive manufacturers worldwide." The production of their 3DP FVC ADAS solution is set to commence later this year, with broad expectations for adoption across multiple vehicle segments.
The CES 2025 show floor is not limited to established tech giants like Nvidia, Samsung, and Sony—new entrants such as Foxconn and Scout Motors will also be present, showcasing products centered around smart cities, IoT technology, and sustainability. Melissa Harrison, CTA VP of Marketing and Communications, enthused about the introduction of new exhibitors such as EcoFlow, Pecron, and PKCell, all contributing to this year’s emphasis on breakthrough technological innovations.
This year, CES also introduces new Innovation Award categories to honor technology's pervasive influence on daily life. Kelley emphasized, "CES is more than just the products on the show floor. We have sessions across more than 40 conference tracks for CES 2025. These include areas like quantum computing and the energy transition—both pivotal to the industry's future."
Attendees can expect to engage with various technologies addressing the world's most pressing challenges, from reducing carbon emissions to enhancing energy efficiency. The Quantum Means Business Program, produced alongside the Quantum World Congress, highlights the potential role of quantum computing technologies, with discussions focusing on how innovations can meet increasing energy demands.
Lastly, CES will explore the intersection between fashion and technology through partnerships with organizations like the Council of Fashion Designers of America. These discussions will shed light on the impact of technology on design, production, and retail, reflecting how consumer wearables evolve with growing tech integration.
The 2025 edition of CES promises to offer visitors a glimpse of the future, seeing innovation not just as technological advancement but as key to addressing global challenges, transforming industries, and creating new opportunities for growth. With its extensive array of exhibitors and ground-breaking presentations, CES remains the leading platform to explore cutting-edge technology.
